It does good for its intended purpose. Nothing wrong with it. Formatting it to the ps3 was difficult but thats an issue elsewhere. Has nothing to do with this product itself. Buy yourself a 32gb flashdrive or micro sd with a flashdrive converter. Advice for formatting.

Works Great!

We still use our PS3 quite a bit, but the old 60gb hard drive was getting to be a huge limitation. So, I finally decided to upgrade the size to 500gb, and I am very happy with the results. It was confusing to figure out what brand and size would be best to order, but in the end I just felt more comfortable with a proven brand like Western Digital. I also did a LOT of research online and decided to stay within the recommended specs for upgrading a PS3 hard drive. I know a lot of people have used solid state drives, and/or have put in 1tb drives, but reviews seemed to be pretty mixed when opting for newer technology or bigger capacity. My analysis was that it seems like users have had better luck overall when staying with the 5200 speed, 500gb size.

As described, came in a timely fashion, easy to install.

This product was easy to install even though it was a little expensive. It works for my ps4 so It is fine.

i had bought a ps3 from a yard sale for 10.00 bucks. Lady said it worked but just ran out of room on it. i got 8 controllers with it plus all the cables. Great deal. So it had only a 32 gb drive...i was like ew! my phone has more storage. anyway i ordered this 500 gb drive and its been running great since i got it. best investment i made for a game console. Seller was fast at shipping and it came very well packaged. will buy more for the rest of my consoles.
