Western Digital 500GB 2.5 Playstation 3/Playstation 4 Hard Drive (PS3 Fat, PS3 Slim, PS3 Super Slim, PS4)

Works like a charm, but still gets a little hot I can hear the playstation popping while it cools. Looking into a cooling fan of some sort.

Once I backup up my data, dropped this new drive in, formatted drive, ask it to restore my data, boom back to how it was before, love it. going from 60GB to 500gb, oh man thats huge extra space. took the 120gb out of my Slim ps3 and dropped another WD 500gb in there works perfect. These HDD I have dropped into 3 - PS3s and they all have worked perfect, plus very easy to update the PS3 to this new HDD.

It might come with 465 gb but honestly its worth the upgrade if your looking to upgrade your ps3 system. It works perfectly fine! No defects good packaging and no complaints whatsoever.

We tried everything suggested on the internet to fix our PS4s safe mode loop issue. Finally, we decided to swap out the hard drive. The only difference was the original hard drive was slightly thinner, but the screws fit the the same. We are very happy with this fix.

Easy to replace existing hard drive on PS3, plenty of videos online show you how. Just make sure you have a jump drive with the current PS operating system for PS3.

Installation is an absolute pain, but it works. Worth it.
