Works great. Just wish it could control individual plugs instead of all 3 at once. And this does work with Alexa. I emailed Their customer service yesterday and they said the feature is coming soon but wouldnt give me a time frame but I just received today and works with alexa just fine so I have no idea what they are talking about.

So, I have purchased 3 of these devices, they all are horrible. The devices just fail for various reasons. I have one that stays on, another that is off all the time, and another that just keeps disconnecting from wifi. These are junk, dont bother buying these things.

Easy set up, tricky to configure when you have multiple units. Worked ok for about 2 months then suddenly died. Completely unresponsive. Past the return window...

I was hoping these would do the trick. Wanted a set of stakes to plug in outside to automate my Christmas lights. I purchased 2 and received 2 quickly with prime. I opened the first and was able to link to my router. Then when I opened the app it would not find the stake and asked to check my connection. I reboot the stake after checking my internet connectivity and received the same result. So I opened the second box thinking I may have received a defective product. I got the same outcome from the second stake. I am sending these back and purchasing only products that connect with iPhone home kit. I received 3 other items that are home kit ready and was able to connect those in minutes.

I have purchased three wions over the past three years, two of those were replaced by the manufacturer and now a third one is gone out. I bought it December 7, 2017 so it is out of warranty and honestly, I don’t want a replacement of the same useless product. Never buying again from this company. It really is upsetting when companies use cheap components and sell items at a premium.

I use C9 incandescents that suck significant power so being able to make sure everything shuts down after hours and during daylight is important to my setup. These wifi stakes and outlet switches by WiOn have the features I need: ability to handle the current load of a couple hundred C9s, easy smartphone remote control with in-app on/off confirmation for each WiOn device, and simple timer setup that works. These things are so far just great. Setup is genius. The device first sets up a local wifi connection with your wireless device. Then it searches for your home wifi signal and asks for your password when you choose it. In two shakes you are turning your stuff on and off with your phone. Ive only had these long enough to test setup and timers. NE Wisconsin cold has not hit yet and havent had enough precip to test weatherproofing. So my five star rating is for initial bulletproof quality and dead simple setup. If anything happens to change my rating I will update as needed.

When I saw an outdoor WiFi outlet at this price point, I should have known it was too good to be true. Basically, multiple iPhones would not connect to the outlet during the setup process, including after I “reset” over a dozen times. I then ordered a replacement—same thing happened.

All this app does is power on/off. I should be able to use it with an all-purpose app controller (like GoSmart or wWeLink). The setup is old fashioned: have to log into the devices near-field local network first, and then it transitions you to your wifi network.

Its easy to set up with the free App Store app. It was outdoors through rain and moisture and it keeps on ticking. Handy to use and it beats rummaging through the bushes at night searching for the plug. Especially when you forget late at night that you left the Christmas lights plugged in.
