Greater than one weekI needed a heavy duty cord that is quite long for DJ-ing. It’s used to power a 12 plug outlet that I almost fill up with speaker power, lighting, and other accessories. It feels very high quality, thick durable coating, and the light is a great feature to easily tell if the outlet is bad. I definitely recommend this cord if you need a heavy duty one.

Greater than one weekit comes with a warning that you should wash your hands after use. *can cause cancer* well im sure they wouldnt be selling this product if it was causing cancer for everyone. But there is still that possibility. after researching i found out this is referring to the materials used in making this extension cord which is lead. but yeah im sure they can figure out a way to make these products without lead in them. Also, $50 CAD is a bit expensive for such an extension cord (25 ft with just 1 plug). so I dont see the value for money. but other than that this gets the job done.

> 3 dayIve always associated YJ products with high quality and this extension cord is no exception. The 12/3 wires ensures your devices dont have to work harder to get the power they need - thus extending the life of those devices. This is a premium, heavy-duty extension cord. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI shopped for a good durable certified extension cord to use for me washing machine. Also to run a 10,000 btu air conditioning but not together at the same time. The first time I used it with the A/C and it wasnt 30min my wife come running through the house telling me the cord was burning on the end. I figure it was just light up on the end and went to double check. It was already on fire burning it wasnt just lit up. I had a cheaper cord exactly like this one id used for 2yrs running the same applinences and figured a upgrade to a certified cord would be better. Im not sure if this cord was defective or what but it really was a major hazard that couldve burned the house down if she wasnt paying close attention. So Id definitely use caution if your considering this cord

09-06-2025Yes it sounds silly to spend this much on an extension cord when the generic orange ones are a fraction of the cost at home improvement stores. But this cord is built for the long haul and will take whatever you throw at it. I mostly use it to run my string trimmer and the light-up ends help confirm power is flowing. I also consider it a piece of emergency preparedness gear. I have used during power outages to connect the kitchen fridge to the generator in my RV outside and Im not worried about it melting or starting a fire. It should run anything short of an industrial air compressor, so the flexibility is nice.

> 3 dayIt seems to work well and I like the fact that both ends of the cord light up so that you can see it easily in the grass at night or late evenings when I get done with my work. It makes it easier to see so that you dont drive over it either. There is one thing that I have noticed that made me drop my rating for this product. I unwrapped the cord and used it the first time. I noticed that the wires inside of the yellow cord cover was already twisted inside of the cord cover. I didnt think much of it until I used it the first time. Now the cord is twisted inside in several spots and it makes it hard to slide the cord around trees and such. It really hang up on stuff and you physically have to move the cord with our hands instead of giving it a shake. I have another cord that is this same size and length. It does not do this and is easier to use.
