> 3 dayI only have good things to say about this company, they are creating fun interactive training courses for kids to learn by doing what they love, playing! I got my 11 year old son the Mod Design 1 course, and he is literally programming in Java to make his ideas come to life in Minecraft. I have watched a couple of the videos with him, and the trainer is a total goofball, but my son is laughing and learning, so dont let that turn you off; the goofy + serious training totally works... You might think it is expensive, but it is a true training class, and I think it is a good value for what you get out of it. Having been a programmer for almost 20 years, I can say that it is really good stuff, and critical concepts that kids are going to be required to know at some point. They have other courses too, such as fashion design, 3D Game Design, 3D Animation, App Design (you actually build and install an app on an iPhone or iPad!), and others. It would make a great Christmas present! ... ok, done with my product advertising... no I dont get paid for this, I just want them to make more of these!

> 3 dayMy son loved Mod Design 1. It taught him about java and eclipse as well as giving him the knowledge to make mods for minecraft. He still uses that knowledge today making new mods. Highly recommend it.

Greater than one weekBest self-teaching Java and Minecraft curriculum a kid could ask for. My daughter absolutely loved this program. It integrates great teaching videos, a programming environment, great support and more! Even I enjoyed watching and participating in the lessons while seeing her creations play out live on Minecraft.

> 3 dayPiece of crap!!!! Dont waste your money. I could not even begin this process! Could not get past a subscription charge of 249.00 to use my voucher code! Basically, I paid Amazon 159.00 for a box of stickers. Youth Digital has no customer service. You speak to a machine. I did receive an email once with directions that got me the same result NOTHING! PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

> 3 dayI bought this for my minecraft-crazed 9-year old son and he is loving the program!! I’m so impressed with it and recommended it to several members of my family for nieces and nephews. I work with Java Engineers who use Eclipse and I was telling my son how cool it is that he’s using PROFESSIONAL LEVEL software and code!!! He’s taking his time going through the program, a few bits and pieces a day - but he’s really enjoying being able to create his own stuff in Minecraft. The teachers in the program are GREAT and make the whole thing fun and entertaining for kids. I love how they take something as complex as Java programing and literally make it childs play. This is a great program!! BRAVO!

> 3 dayOur seven-year-old son got this for Christmas. We bought it for him on a lark, thinking he might enjoy learning how to program, not really sure if he would be able to use it yet or if it was above his level. Well, he LOVED it!! This program is so well done, I cannot say it strongly enough. My husband and I are so impressed with this company and this program. The videos are entertaining, the instructor is engaging, and basically, our sons other gifts are laying under the Christmas tree, virtually untouched. I wont say that he hasnt gotten frustrated, because he has. This is challenging work to be sure, but help is available. When he was confused, my son sent an email to the support desk. Within 10 minutes, he had a friendly and helpful reply complete with pictures, instructions, and reassurances that Well get this worked out! Youth Digital is in a class by itself! I highly recommend for your budding computer programmer. (Our son loves it so much that we are planning to enroll him in their summer camp in 2015, even though it is over an hour away!)

> 3 dayI have a 10 year old son who loves Minecraft and recording Minecraft videos for Youtube. He does not have a server yet. I liked the idea to have him learn Java and improve his gaming. He would not be into coding if it wasnt for this avesome product. I would advise parents to spend 1 hour setting up an account with Youth Digital (provider) and downloading the files. Make sure that firewalls allow for installation and so on. And the let your kid loose once everything is working. Dont get your kid totally excited about uploading their own sword and they you spend an hour rebooting and creating folders. It was the best thing I got my son all year. The guy who teaches the kids in the videos is on the kids level, respectful, has a nice language and is a good role model. Somebody commented on his voice being weird, buts its sounds good to me. Which I had a science teacher like that in school :)

I review therefore I am!!
Greater than one weekMy daughter continue to have issues with the software. For now she is emailing the support on a daily basis without success. She is using a Macbook and we are having many problems with integration with the actual game

> 3 day1) The custom environment that the course installs for you is quite error prone. Eclipse will often fail to load and unless you really know what youre doing, you can loose your work and start over.
