This is the best iPad repair kit anywhere for the price and installation. Even I can do it. Pls, make sure you have, or get a heat gun, otherwise youll be for a very horrible and / or bad installation, and have patience. The only drawback is it DOES NOT have touch ID for those who need it.

Home button stopped working after 1 month of use. I should have kept the home button from my broken screen.

It was relatively easy to install and adhered properly. But all of that doesn’t matter because the top half of the digitizer is unresponsive. I’ve replaced several iPhone screens in the past and have had success. This is total disappointment. It has rendered the iPad useless. At least with the crack in the original screen it could still be used. I don’t want to spend the money and time to try again but My daughter uses this thing daily. I’m incredibly disappointed with this obvious design flaw

The package itself doesnt have instructions on how to install the new screen. However, it does provide all necessary tools to help with installation. I did go on YouTube to follow step by step instructions which were very detailed and helped me a great deal. The print recognition does not work, however this was expected and it doesnt matter to me. As is for my kids use. Overall great quality.

to most negative reviewers: are you serious about expecting instructions? do you get instructions when buying auto parts on how to replace them? And if you receive broken product, return it, why leaving negative review? Please read description, the item does not come with touch id home button. And replacing original home button is the hardest part since it wont stay in place as in original unit. The best I came up with was to add silicone underneath it which holds it in place. But the screen itself works great. Adhesive sucks as with mostly all screens, so get B7000 glue for the replacement job.

I replaced a cracked digitizer screen on my i-pad 5th gen with this replacement unit. I put everything back together and the i-pad powered up and I can finger swipe normally which was a good sign. However, then I noticed a shadow that looks like a bubble next to the front-camera and I pressed down in that area hopping that I can squeeze it out. The screen cracked immediately underneath it. That is less than a minute after the installation. I took a magnifying glass and inspected that area, and I saw a round defect underneath the glass that is recessed and caused the glass to crack when I press on it (see the pictures). Judging from the fact that the defect is underneath the glass, it must come like that from the factory. My i-pad is working fine when the original screen broke and now Ive replaced it with this thing and ended up with another broken screen. $$$ wasted. I am now reluctant to return it since it is at least working but what a bummer. Also the pre-installed tape around the edges is not strong enough to hold the screen down. I need to find other ways to fix that too.

Ive done this a million times. Fixing iPad screens. But I used this brand one time and it fried my ipad.

i made the effort and got the screen off. I was able to use the provided screwdriver to remover the 4 LCD screen screws. HOWEVER the screwdriver does not also fit the 3 remaining screws that hold the wires in place. So i basically did half the work and when near the end- CANNOT cont bc there was not an appropriate screwdriver provided for the even tinier screws. So, not i just have an ipad with no screen at all.
