> 3 dayThe turtle loves it. He sits on it most of the day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it floats around the tank instead of staying under the light, and since he is a basking turtle staying in place is crucial. Maybe it is the strength of the filter pushing it, maybe weigh it down heavier in the future.

> 3 dayWe started with a turtle dock from this company that attaches to the sides of the aquarium with suction cups. This initially worked well, but as our turtle grew larger he started knocking the dock loose, and he was getting too big for the dock (he is about 5 inches long). We saw this turtle log which looked ideal for him. The log works great for him to get on top of, but he started going in and out of the log and got stuck. It took me about 30 minutes to get him loose. He got stuck again about a week later. We reduced the amount of water in our tank so that if he gets stuck he wont drown. Right now I am looking for an alternative (I am guessing a wooden log or ramp) to this log. The log is made hallow through the middle, and depending on how our turtle crawls through he often makes it in and out okay, but at other times becomes wedged in tightly. He gets so stuck it is difficult to get him out. Im not sure what this company wss thinking in making this log hollow. Our turtle doesnt seem to need to hide or seek privacy--he simply roams about his tank and gets stuck in this stupid log when doing so. A responsible company would have made this log solid (maybe with a hollow center) so that turtles could not get stuck and potentially die! We paid way too much for this and in return we have to find something else before this kills our turtle. If you have a really small turtle or a really large one, this log would be fine, but if yours is mid-sized like ours--DO NOT BUY THIS LOG--it will kill your turtle!

> 3 dayMy son’s turtle likes the log, he likes to hang out inside and on top of it. I really didn’t like the packaging of it in the box, it was a mess getting it out of the box little pieces of styrofoam everywhere. But I do recommend this for a turtle, it doesn’t have paint that flakes off and it is sturdy compared to other things I bought the turtle.

Greater than one weekI was actually hoping this was the extra large log size as we are moving our red ear slider to a 40 gal tank but he still likes it. His old log weve had for 6 or 7 years and was beginning to fall apart. This log has a weight in it and floats in the water. He climbs on top to take a break from the water or to bask for hours on end. I tried several other turtle ramps to get him out of the water and he sunk them all. This is the best and cost effective, too.

> 3 dayBastante grande y mis tortugas están felices. Les cuesta un poco subír pero eso les ayuda a fortalecerse. Con el tiempo se suben con más facilidad

> 3 dayI bought this log for my red eared slider.our tiny keechu loves her turtle log though she is still trying to explore how to go in and out of it ,for the log keeps floating ,but i am sure it will get use to it.It has a very natural look.A product worth buying. But i think it may not be useful when the turtle grows big in size.

> 3 dayThe product is made from resin and really resembles a log . The item is weighted so that it doesn’t rotate when a turtle climbs on to it . Two disadvantages to this item is that it is free to float around , so it will not remain under a basking light and it will not support a full size adult red ear slider.

> 3 dayI came across this Turtle Log and although I do not have a turle, I thought that maybe the fish I have would like it. They did!!! I have caught my SP44 cichlids spawning/breeding a couple days after I introduced it to the tank. The log looks real and has several holes for the fish to swim through. It floats great and has maybe an inch or so above the water line. I would rinse it well with warm water though. The one I received had a oil coating or something on it maybe from production that might hurt the turtle or fish. I rinsed, wiped down with a clean towel, and rinsed it again just to make sure. Also, it could have been from the styrofoam packaging. Anywho, its cool, looks good, and the chicks dig it... Love, Peace, and hair grease :)
