Greater than one weekMy turtle loves it! I used to have two hatchlings in my tank & they both loved to go in & stick their heads out. I’ve since separated them & kept the shy turtle in & he loves the log. He will eventually not fit inside but he also uses the top to bask.

> 3 dayI bought for ACF and they love it, along with my blood parrots they were both hanging out in it by the end of the first day. I see them selling in stores anywhere from $45-50 I got online for $27. It is very big as i was hoping, wouldnt reccomend for anything under 50 gal due to size. Over all a happy customer got product with 3 days

> 3 dayI purchased the floating log for my red-eared slider. Since it is an aquatic turtle, it doesnt really need the log and I have never seen her climbing onto the log, but it is an adequate resting place even though she is a mid-sized turtle (3 x 5 carapace). The log is authentic looking and has holes in it which would allow a baby turtle to move through. The log is a nice addition to my red-eared slider turtle habitat. Dr. Darrell D. > 3 dayI was looking for something a bird might latch onto. I don’t have turtles but do get the occasional bird in my pond.

> 3 dayI actually found the aquarium log series by the same company better for turtles than zoo meds turtle log. Pretty much the same thing in every size except for hole placement- the aquarium logs have a hole on top, where if size matches enough they can stand up inside, poke their head out the top & look around as they float around inside it. A position mine seems to like a lot anyway. Unless you dont have a dedicated basking area & need the entire log top surface for basking too, Id recommend the aquarium log version. Also this particular turtle log seemed to be made of less dense, cheaper material than the aquarium logs. The one I got.

> 3 dayI have an assortment of aquatic turtles and they love the log. I highly recommend it. It does move around in the tank and if you have a musk turtle or turtles that can climb, use caution b/c they may try and escape. I have the largest turtle tank with the cut out on the side and when the log is near the filter, he trys to climb out by way of the filter. Overall, the log is great.
