Zoo Med Floating Turtle Log

Greater than one weekMy 5 aquatic turtle loves this log. He basks on top of it, moves it around his habitat, and hides from his pet goldfish inside it. Sometimes hes inside for hours with his neck stretched out the sidehole so the tip of his snout reaches fresh air. He stands under it and pushes it around the habitat, and positions it sometimes so the fish cant bother him. Ive had this log for my turtle for over 2 years and just love it. Its easy to clean and my turtle is the right size that he doesnt get stuck. I will report back if he outgrows it but for now hes been totally fine.

> 3 dayThis floating log is perfect for my smaller turtles to get away from the larger turtles and peek out the portholes. Made of sturdy materials and nice looking.

> 3 dayI bought this for our red ear slider and soft shell turtle. Unfortunately they are not on top of it much but seems to enjoy the inside of the log.

Greater than one weekI actually found the aquarium log series by the same company better for turtles than zoo meds turtle log. Pretty much the same thing in every size except for hole placement- the aquarium logs have a hole on top, where if size matches enough they can stand up inside, poke their head out the top & look around as they float around inside it. A position mine seems to like a lot anyway. Unless you dont have a dedicated basking area & need the entire log top surface for basking too, Id recommend the aquarium log version. Also this particular turtle log seemed to be made of less dense, cheaper material than the aquarium logs. The one I got.

> 3 dayWe bought this for our 2 water turtles who are now about 4-5 in diameter. They love to get in it, and poke their heads out the holes. We find them in it, more than on top of it. But, they really seem to like that they have a place to hide, but keep their heads above water. Floats well, and doesnt spin over. Ours did not have a suction cups, and no obvious way to attach to aquarium, so it is free floating.

> 3 dayI bought this log for my red eared slider.our tiny keechu loves her turtle log though she is still trying to explore how to go in and out of it ,for the log keeps floating ,but i am sure it will get use to it.It has a very natural look.A product worth buying. But i think it may not be useful when the turtle grows big in size.
