> 3 dayThis switch is great for smaller security systems, outdoor wifi or any other Power over Ethernet project you may have, such as IP phones. I am using it for both Camera and an outdoor wireless access point. PoE is a great way to power remote cameras with out having to run electric or batteries to them. Many WIFI cameras cap out at 1080p but with PoE you can place 4k surveillance cameras. No more potato quality videos. It is an unmanaged switch meaning there is no configuration interface. It is simply plug and play. One thing to be mindful of is the electrical power is 48V. Insure your device is compatible.

> 3 dayThis switch has 4 POE 10/100/1000 ports and 2 uplink port (1 RJ45 and 1 SFP). THe SPF uplink means that you can install a fiber adapter and electrically isolate this switch from the rest of your network. The 4 POE ports can be VLAN isolated and can only communicate with the uplink ports. This means that an intruder cannot unhook one of your camera and access the other cameras. Lightweight, fan-less, lightning protected and 65 power budget (30w max per port).

> 3 dayI have this switch connected 800 feet away to my barn that has 4 POE Reolink cameras. The uplink connection is via the SFP fiber port. Its crazy that they can offer a such a device for less than $30 - a steal of a deal especially with fiber. And to add to this, the power supply is built in so you dont have to deal with power bricks.

> 3 dayIm really surprised given the price of this device, but it seems to deliver as promised. The only thing I havent tested is the speed. I have two cameras on it and theyre only 100Mb, so Ive not tested to see what 1Gb speeds are like. Again, its very inexpensive and Im really blown away that, at this price, it seems to deliver the goods.

> 3 day16 Channels with an auto power option for each of them to power any of your devices whether they are security cameras, wireless access points, or raspberry pi’s that operate your smart home! The switch works and is able to pass full Gigabit connections. Has 2 SFP uplink ports. Works for a whole home patch bay. Lights to indicate status per port. Server rack mount hangers if you use them. Great general home use switching. Not for the advanced user.

> 3 dayIve used a number of POE switches over the past couple of years. I bought this as a backup for an older switch. This one is especially well suited for surveillance type networks. With 30W per port (total for switch is 300W), its more than capable of powering the cameras that are installed. It has an internal power supply so theres no power brick just a standard power cord. When I received it, I unboxed the switch to look it over. Its a well made switch. The case is metal and can be used as a desktop system or it can be rack/wall mounted (mounting brackets included in the package). Noise is not an issue as it is fanless. The switch has some nice basic features. 1) It can run in 3 different modes. A standard mode where each device can communicate with every device, a vlan mode where each port can only communicate with the uplink ports and an extended mode in which instead of 100m limits on the length of the cable its extended to 250m but the transmission rate is slowed down to accommodate the extended distance. 2) It has a watchdog function. If a device goes offline, the switch will attempt to restart it. 3) Built in surge protection. 4) 2 1000M uplink ports. What you have to keep in mind is that this is a 10/100MB switch which is fine for cameras, printers and any other devices that have low data bandwidths but would not be suitable for networks with computers.

02-04-2025This switch is a descent option for a low budget switch where you run a flat single VLAN. It shows this able to run the higher POE power rating with AT & AF standards. Currently I do not have an AT device to test this with, so I cannot confirm that option. Next it has a fiber port, which is the reason I wanted it. A short fiber loop test indicates the port is functional but I cannot find the technical specs on port specifics. In the end I am going to install this outside in an outdoor enclosure with a POE camera and mesh AP using a fiber link to my core switch. At this time, I do not have all those components so I cannot test this switch to its full capabilities yet.

Greater than one weekThis switch worked very well for me. The PoE powered my cameras as expected. I tested the PoE on all of the ports and it worked fine, but I dont have enough cameras to test all ports at the same time. Does the job that I needed it to do!

> 3 dayGreat little POE switch. Installed it out at the detached garage. Ran fiber to it to create a backbone network with speed back to the house. Let me expand my camera coverage as I then added several cameras by POe to the switch. This gave more coverage to the camera network which is a good thing. So its a handy little switch to expand an already existing network with. Simple and easy.

Greater than one weekGot this Switch right along with one of the new Dual Camera offerings from REOLink and wow is it bright. Ok let me talk about the switch. I love POE devices and have installed many a VIOP, Access point, and Security camera to POE routers. This is my first 16 port personal system and Im excited as it will help me grow my security system as I get more and more POE cameras over time. Next item is a NVR so I can store video locally and see all my cameras in one place . This is an unmanaged switch so you cannot manage data flow but it does also have 2 SFP Uplink ports (Ill never need it in this house but the next one YES as Ill have that one Fully networked) And Data transmission modes I left it in the normal setting just for my install. I also have a High Gain Antenna which is repeating my wifi across my home and also way out into my yard. This helps my cameras get a network signal so I didnt have to run a cable all the way across my home. I really enjoy the flexibility of a POE Switch especially to be able to power the other devices and helps me minimize my labeling needs. I do like that this has its own power supply not a wall wart or a brick. This makes install os much easier . Currently everything is directly patched and not run through a crawl space or attic. I plan on adding a few more cameras to this and those will be ran in the attic. Im impressed that its noise free and should support the current home I am at for all my POE needs. Pros: 19 inch rack mount with brackets built in power supply Uplink ports for expandability 3 Data Transmission modes quiet operation Cons: None so far
