Unit is used in a small audio/visual closet. It is very quiet and has effectively cooled a rack of audio equipment.

Seems to be put together well. At low fan settings I cant hear the fan. But 50% and over it can drowned out dialogue if sitting near tv. If equipment rig can be set up in a different room than this is no problem. But can be a distraction if listening to music or movies with little action or a lot of talking. At least when fan settings is 50% or more. Not a deal breaker but fan noise needs improvement.

Excellent addition to my AVR. Sits neatly on top of my Denon AVR-X6400 and keeps it running cool. Very little noise

Perfect size...works great

I own a large stereo receiver/home theater from Onkyo and I really like to crank up the sound. Problem is that you could smell it literally cooking itself for lack of a better term. the smell of something getting a bit too hot in the air. I was worried that it would eventually burn itself out so I wondered if Amazon had any solutions. Then I found this. I bought it with one click and it arrived promptly the next day. I gotta tell you I love this thing. No more overheating and I can enjoy my stereo at full blast! It has three functions. Always on, automatic which kicks on when it detects a certain temperature, and smart mode which I think is the best mode. It cranks up the cooling level depending on the temperature of the receiver. si it isnt always on full blast. Highly recommended if you smell anything burning while jamming with your home stereo.

Works great and quiet

The 3 fans are just barely audible when the room is quiet. Money well spent to protect thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

I havent used it a whole lot yet but when I have its cheaper and better in every way than Cool Components!

This cooling fan works perfectly. It does what its supposed to do.
