Does what it says. I am using the second lowest fan speed (which is pretty quiet) and it keeps my receiver cool. Silent only at lowest fan speed but whatever you are listening to will probably drown out the sound from the fan. Good buy.

Seems to be put together well. At low fan settings I cant hear the fan. But 50% and over it can drowned out dialogue if sitting near tv. If equipment rig can be set up in a different room than this is no problem. But can be a distraction if listening to music or movies with little action or a lot of talking. At least when fan settings is 50% or more. Not a deal breaker but fan noise needs improvement.

So far so good! Fan was very easy to set up. It operates purfectly. Keeps my receiver very cool. I would buy it again.

The Aircom S9 unit does the job for cooling my AV receiver. Its easy to set up and quiet, especially in auto mode. Good purchase for us.

Keeps my Denon receiver cool and happy!! Would absolutely buy again!! I only have to use it at half speed to get great results.

I took delivery of an AIRCOM S9 cooling fan unit this week. I had acquired a new AVR unit that has quite a bit more power than my previous unit and therefore produced more unwanted heat. In the limited space available for the AVR heat was bound to be an issue. The AIRCOM S9 solves that problem by exhausting the heat out whenever it exceeds a threshold. The unit determines how much fan power to use based on the heat conditions: if it only needs a little, it only turns on the fans at 25% speed. More heat: more fan speed.

The cooling fan works as advertised. Set on low you can not hear it. Put a hand over the top and you can feel the heat being sucked out.

I like it. I wanted to like it more but the corners are curved and it mismatches the rest of the components in the stack.I mean what receiver or amp do you know of that has curved front corners? I think it was a dumb move to curve them. I wish it had straight corners it would be almost perfect. Are you listening AC Infinity?
