Greater than one weekPurchase this to keep my Marantz receiver cool as they run hot.I set it to smart and it automatically adjusts fan speed to keep it running cool. I see the fans speed meter fluctuating during action movies when my receiver is working harder -) glad I bought it,I believe it will extend the life of my receiver.

04-06-2025Needed for my AV receiver in a closed cabinet that had shutdown due to thermal protection kicking in(Loud music for a long time). Since installing the S9, no more shutdown even after extensive loud levels. Only concern is that the fan is a bit noisy during quiet movie watching, but not annoying enough-just noticeable. The added protection far outweighs having the receiver shut down. Clean simple interface that just works.

> 3 dayIve only had it for a few days now but so far so good its slick design on top of the stereo its very quiet the auto feature and temperature sensor are great so its not running as fast as it needs to when the cabinets not hot.

Greater than one weekProduct used to cool the main amplifier of my audio system. Fits perfectly atop the amp. Setup was easy and instructions were uncomplicated. Just be aware product is exclusively designed to work best with devices vented from the top versus at the rear.

> 3 dayDoes what it says. I am using the second lowest fan speed (which is pretty quiet) and it keeps my receiver cool. Silent only at lowest fan speed but whatever you are listening to will probably drown out the sound from the fan. Good buy.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised. I have (had) a A/V receiver that ran hot when turned up. This item did the trick! Easy to set up. It doesn’t run until the temp gets to, I think, 88. Then it runs until the temp falls to, I think, 84. Very quiet as well.
