> 3 dayI purchased this Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R14K as an inexpensive replacement for my macbook pro that died. I was waiting for Apple to release the new M1 mbp, but needed a laptop until. I have to say that this Acer laptop served me so well, that I was in no rush to get the mbp, which was about 9x the cost.

Greater than one weekHad this thing for a couple months now and right away switched out to the 1 TB SSD and upgraded 16gb additional DDR ram. Ram was plug and play the 1TB swap took a little research and verified with a guy at Radioshack on how to clone the windows 10 install to the new hard drive. Runs great, fast startup. I dont game on PC but it is nice, functional, fairly fast, large capacity (after upgrade), low cost for all other reasons! Totally worth it

> 3 dayWithin six months of owning this laptop the keys began to fall out. It was purchased as a personal laptop for light/moderate use on zoom calls and email.

> 3 dayI use it for home use and it does more than I need. I also use Microsoft Office. If your budget is around $400 you cant go wrong. Boots in about five seconds. It set itself up in about fifteen minutes. I took an 8GB RAM out of my old Dell Inspiron I5 (that only lasted just over one year before crashing) and it snapped right in. It was really easy. I just watched a short video on YouTube. Now I have 12GB but really dont even need it. I just did it because I could. It also comes with an hdd bracket if you want to expand that and it looks to be just as easy. As long as it doesnt crash like my Dell, its a great buy and $300 less and just as fast.

> 3 dayOriginally bought it for personal use, but with a little capacity and memory upgrade, its a great piece of tech. Very responsive, short boot times, apps load quickly. Absolutely recommend.

> 3 dayMy 12 year old computer finally took its last breath and l was forced to buy a new one. I had heard an employee at a major computer outlet talk about the acer computer. I found this online and got a great price on it, even before black friday. Love it...l didnt realize how old my other computer was until l started exploring this one. Easy to use, easy to find instructions, websites, etc. l am glad l purchased this acer and know it will someday be 12 years old too!
