Greater than one weekWe bought this Acer for our 19 year old son for his gap year program. We bought it on Nov.10, and now, on April 6, the built-in mouse pad is no longer working, and the computer isnt recognizing the battery, so it only works while plugged in. Very disappointing for a 5 month old computer! Definitely not recommended.

> 3 dayI bought this computer as a family computer to replace an aging desktop. The desktop had a Gen 4 Intel Core I7, and a non-SSD hard drive. This computer is sooo much faster! It boots up super fast and everything is super peppy and responsive. However with lots of people using it and leaving software and browser tabs open, it quickly runs out of RAM. 2 of the 8 gigs of RAM are reserved for the video card, this cant be changed. Once the RAM starts to get full, it gets very sluggish. Like it would take a half second from when I typed a character until it showed up on the screen. Sometimes I could type multiple words without any visual response and then they would all show up at once.

> 3 dayI have wanted an ACER laptop for over 16 years, but never bought one because I was always able to purchase other used laptops for a fair price. Finally I decided to purchase a new Laptop, and I believe ACER is the BEST Bang for The Buck Laptop anyone can buy. I had a choice of either the equivalent (INTEL Processor) or the (AMD RYZEN 5) and Im thrilled I picked the AMD processor over the INTEL. I absolutely love this laptop. The performance is AMAZING! That AMD processor is second to NONE when it comes to its competitor. AAA+ Yes there are faster laptops out there then this particular model, but look at what you have to pay before you make a choice. This is The BEST BANG for your BUCK in Laptops in my opinion. As it stands to this day, I will NEVER again purchase anything else than an ACER.

> 3 dayThis laptop keeps shutting down and powering off randomly every few days. It happens at least two times per week. I cant use this comfortably for school or work because I never know when its going to power off. That is my only grip that I have. Its a great PC otherwise. I would not recommend this model laptop to anyone.

> 3 dayI bought the Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B, the one with the Ryzen 5 4500u and the build-in GPU. This version only has one memory slot available where you can add up to a 16 GB DDR4, but to have the dual-channel I decided to order an 8 GB DDR4. The laptop is fast, I had to remove a few programs I didnt need in there but overall it was pretty clean. The downside for that light of laptop is the tiny, fragile, power connector... I wish Acer would fix that!
