Ok, I have two little issues with this laptop (Acer Aspire 5 with Ryzen 5 4500U - 8gb ddr4 ram). The first one is that... You can add 8gb ddr4 for a total of (almost) 16gb ram, and it would work on dual channel (great) BUT, there is only a empty slot for ram, the other one is soldered to the motherboard, so, in order to keep the dual channel working, the max capability of ram you will have is 16gb, that, in MY experience, is the minimum recommended . I mean, there are cheaper models that have both modifiable memory slots, but they DECIDED to do it this way... Why? I do not know.

Looking for a laptop for my daughter for remote learning. Originally picked AUSU with Ryzen 3500u (didn’t know 4500u is available). For the price you paid, you will get the best value with this laptop. Played it for a whole day, I am good with the screen and performance. FYI, a bay for adding an internal hard drive is provided, so you can add a bigger hard drive later on. Single 8G ram is standard (expandable slot available). Furthermore, the dedicated video seems not necessary. According to some testing sites, the integrated APU is only slightly slower than the RX640. I would save the $50 for a hard drive. No card reader no finger print don’t matter to me since the laptop is for my daughter remote school.

Wanted a machine for email, browsing, and watching videos over wi-fi. This fits the bill perfectly, and at a price that doesnt empty the piggy bank. I recommend this product.

PC died in less than 2 years and is outside of warranty. I highly recommend you do not buy Acer as, apparently, their laptops are known for dying like this (getting stuck on loading screen).

The volume cannot be turned up very high. I used to use the volume on my old laptop at below 50%, and this one the volume is almost always at 100% of often not loud enough at that level. The keyboard is lousy. Im a very good typist and there are always letters that dont type, I have to go back and correct the missing letters. I feel like I need to add an extra keyboard to type on. I would never buy this laptop again.

Great zippy laptop that’s easy to upgrade. Boots quickly, has a nice screen, and is very responsive.
