I absolutely love this laptop except Im not very familiar with chromebook other than that its a very reliable computer...

To begin with, I knew going in that I was getting an android operating system that would not have all the functionality of Windows, especially MS Word. I have a 13 inch Win10 HP Spit with an i3 processor and so that is my comparison. My objectives for this laptop were:

I cannot get that computer to leave the Google screen it will not let me search its been like that since I bought . Also it keep going back to black screen. I meant to send this a long time ago. I just want it fixed or replaced.

Love this chrome book. Very sleek and stylish, and the battery lasts for so long. My only complaint is that is does run a little slower if you have multiple tabs open. There can be a lag. Great for the price though.

Bought for college, lightweight but good quality monitor for visuals. Perfect for what I needed, also the gold is not gaudy like I thought it would be, kinda nice.

Love love love it! Sleek gold design doesnt even look like a chromebook! It also boots very quickly, has a great battery life, and is very lightweight!

I have had a sketchy history with computers. It seems like if I touched them, they were very likely doomed. None of them would really synch to my limited capabilities or lend itself to my needs in a straight forward easily understandable way. This Acer 14 is wonderful. I love this note book. I have learned so much and it is so very user friendly. I LOVE the key board. I can type away for hours and never once accidentally hit the center pad. The aluminum casing is fantastic. The chrome set up makes the life of a computer dummy very easy.I love the screen as the picture is super crisp. I was worried as some reviews said it was too dark. I havent even adjusted it and it is perfectly fine. I saw a review where someone complained that the lid was hard to open. Well, it is not hard, but requires minimal pressure. I for one dont want mine flopping open .I have only charged it once as mine came with almost a full charge. Im writing a book so I ran it for about 8 hours before the battery got low. Im sure I could have kept going. The speaker sound is exceptional. Last but not least Im very pleased with the speed , no wait to speak of and I am extremely impatient. I simply cant say enough except if you have one and dont like it, youre too picky.
