Bought for my Mom and she is enjoying it.

This came for a Christmas present and the screen immediately was flickering and freezing. We called tech support and they completely blew it. They didnt even know what they were taking about. Then they said they would send a return ticket but so far they havent. Very very dissatisfied

Im a Software Engineer, and wanted a relatively cheap laptop that I could take with me, and at the same time, not have to worry about like I do with my $2000+ Mac Pro book. I do a lot of development in the cloud, and make use of a lot of resources on the net, and so reasoned I didnt need to cart around a regular laptop. Since I obviously do a lot of typing, I hoped for decent keyboard-- and was pleasantly surprised. The keyboard on this unit is actually quite nice. And lets be real. The majority of things we do everyday on a computer is covered by a Chromebook, and its large array of available apps and extensions (to Chrome). Certainly for specialized uses, we cant completely untether ourselves from a full on laptop or desktop running Linux, OS X, or Windows. But Chromebooks do fill a niche.

The screen is dark. If more than a couple of windows are open at one time the whole system crashes. It started making a strange noise today. The case makes a clicking noise if you try and close it.

Loved the Acer Chromebook for the 10 months that it lasted. Acer will not make any options for a new product, claiming that they have no warranty. Lie!

I didnt realize GOOGLE has its own operating system, so this is NOT a MAC or Windows. It does not interface well with any printer I could find as nothing would download for a driver because it needs to be a MAC or Windows. Geeez...If I knew that I wouldnt have purchased, but I do love what it can do for the money. I just wish Word documents could be managed better. You cant use it to edit a word document. I cant use an android APP store either. It has to be GOGGLE. There isnt a lot out there yet! Sad truth.

First time buying Acer. First time using a Chromebook. Love, love, love both! Highly recommend! I paid more to get the gold color and it was worth it. Exquisite and soft brushed gold color! So happy with this purchase!

Quite happy with the chromebook for the price! I have always been a mac user..... but just dont have the extra one thousand dollars to stay with apple. Being retired, I dont need all the functions I once needed on my mac. This has everything I need. Do I miss my macbook? YES! Do I still love this chromebook? YES!
