Been using for months without trouble!

Im a Software Engineer, and wanted a relatively cheap laptop that I could take with me, and at the same time, not have to worry about like I do with my $2000+ Mac Pro book. I do a lot of development in the cloud, and make use of a lot of resources on the net, and so reasoned I didnt need to cart around a regular laptop. Since I obviously do a lot of typing, I hoped for decent keyboard-- and was pleasantly surprised. The keyboard on this unit is actually quite nice. And lets be real. The majority of things we do everyday on a computer is covered by a Chromebook, and its large array of available apps and extensions (to Chrome). Certainly for specialized uses, we cant completely untether ourselves from a full on laptop or desktop running Linux, OS X, or Windows. But Chromebooks do fill a niche.

I absolutely love this laptop except Im not very familiar with chromebook other than that its a very reliable computer...

Its a great machine, works well, but the limitations of not being able to put anything on the hard drive, not being able to have Word or Adobe, is more than I bargained for. I had to buy a new cloud ready printer - to be able to print. I am so disappointed. NOTE, there is NOT a delete key and there is not a CAPS key. But there is a very useless search key in the place of the CAPS key. Not at all a good work machine. I am also disappointed to not be able to get the firefox browser - which is the preferred browser for my online program for scheduling. Wish I could give it back and get me another Dell.

Really nice quality. It is a chromebook, so the features are perfect for students just needing to research or surf the web. Doesnt have backlit keyboard, but no chromebook does. The battery life is crazy long and the screen quality is fire.

On top of the scam planned obsoletion that is (Auto Update Expiration (AUE) date) this laptop is in shambles two years later. Screen flickers in and out, hdmi out port is malfunctioning. Two years later and I’m receiving notifications that they’re going to stop supporting OS updates. This is absurd considering it’s only two years old.

Light and fast as expected. The only thing that takes getting used to is the keyboard. There is no Caps lock key - instead that key is a search hot key which brings up the apps window. There is also no right click on the touch pad - instead you have to press Alt and left click. Minor gripes that makes this machine 4.5 stars.
