> 24 hourLets start by saying this is a FREESYNC monitor that is G-SYNC ADAPTIVE. It has the software to correctly interact with the NVIDIA control panel when everything is installed properly but it is not a dedicated G-SYNC monitor. Why does that matter? What could be so bad? Who cares? Well if you are streaming and have two monitors or regularly tab out of game during loading screens to a different monitor the G-SYNC adaptive monitor flickers off, goes black, resets and causes Microsoft to try to reconfigure your monitor settings because now you have 1 less monitor to use. Wait the monitor turns back on but G-Sync isnt on anymore... (you dont notice, youre still wondering what just happened and you watched your black screens for 5 or 10 seconds as they figured themselves back out. So you tab back over to the game not getting to do what you tabbed out to do in the first place. When you tab back into the game G-Sync needs to come back on so the monitor flickers out again, your screens goes black, Microsoft loses its mind, you panic because you know the loading screens between games only last 20 to 30 seconds. The game screen comes back on but your frame rate is wrong because of a software issue. You have to go to settings and change the game from full screen mode to windows mode click apply, then back to full screen mode to fix the FPS issue. If your fast you get all of this done just in time to play. If youre not fast, or youre too confused by what just happened you get shot before picking up any weapon in the game and now you get to start this story over.... So if you get this outstanding monitor for the cost and image quality, its the only monitor you will be using and you dont tab out of game: 5 Stars (But dont buy another or well... read above....) If you bought this outstanding monitor but you tab out alot and use more than one monitor you are going to spend a few weeks trying to find the right settings to edit to minimize this gigantic G-Sync Adaptive Flaw. Best of luck.

> 24 hourLiterally an amazing monitor, and for the price it makes it that much more satisfying. My only complaint is that Acers out of the box colors are bland and kinda bleak even faded a little. (This is super repeated on reviews I know). With a little tweaking and fiddling with the built in adjustment menu it’s easily fixed and you can modify it to your liking to extreme lengths. I messed with it for like 2 hours after I achieved my desired appearance just because it was kind of fun. The menu is kind of cool and well setup. Only reason why it was 4.5 out of 5 is because I don’t feel like I should have to mess with settings unless it’s really that bad out of the box.. which it kind of was - but now that I got it set how I like it, I’m in love.

> 24 hourFor context, I now own two of these monitors, and these are my first. I bought the first one back in May 2019 for my PS4 and Switch (I game a lot), and the second in October after building a PC. I originally loved keeping the 1ms response time I was accustomed to on my TV for under $200 (at the time of writing it is $169.99), and was fine with the display and picture quality (though it took some time to get used to the smaller screen compared to my 60in TV). The monitor has settings to change colors and what not and also features a Game Mode that I suspect is the Acer EyeProtect’s Flicker-less, Blue Light Filter, ComfyView and Low-dimming technology mode. But the real change came in September when I built my first PC and connected it to this monitor. Playing with 144hz does make a real difference when playing, allowing you to see things come in focus much quicker than the 60hz I was used to, and the 1ms response time feels amazing for those accustomed to 3ms or more. It does get bright and may hurt when gaming for 8 hour prolonged sessions, but you can turn on Game Mode or dim the lights through settings. Plus, the fact that its adjustable is great, allowing it to adjust to a proper height or angle. My buddy, who still plays with a PS4, got one after I recommended it for his short desk setup, and adjusting it so it was facing him was a huge bonus for him. And for the price point its a welcome addition. Overall, solid monitor for under $200 and these have been great starter monitors for PC gaming for me.

> 24 hourId love to show the colors, but the monitor died today at less than 4 months. From what I remember: the colors are washed out and ugly; correcting them takes a bit of effort (and that doesnt guarantee youll ever get the colors right). Brightness is average, I guess. My Asus that was half the price of this looks so much better as far as colors go and brightness. The speakers are... complete garbage. If you like blasting sound out of Apple Earbuds (the ones that come for free with iPhones/iTouches), then these are for you cause thats what it sounds like. You absolutely need headphones or separate speakers for these. As a 144 Hz, it does its job and can go up to 144 Hz. Not much else to say there. My biggest issue is it is a load of crap and mine died within 4 months, and the only thing it did was sit on my desk. If it goes to sleep, it will be unable to receive signal from your PC and is pretty much dead. I managed to get it working again by powering it off, replugging the DP cable, etc., but it just decided to completely die today and wont get signal regardless what I do. Im looking to get it repaired so I can sell it off and buy a quality monitor. I guess I only have myself to blame for trying to cheap out on something as important as a monitor and buying this hunk of crap. As you can see in my picture, there is dust resting on the stand from how little I interacted with it physically. It did not break because I jostled it too much or anything of that sort; left alone it decided to just die. Do yourself a favor and spend a bit more to buy one from a more reputable and quality brand.

> 24 hourMonitor has a good refresh rate but has issues with G-sync, specifically stuttering; hasnt had issue on other displays, unsure if its due to issues w/ drivers, settings on monitor/PC, etc. Color leaves a lot to be desired.

> 24 hourColor is awesome, runs smoothly. I use it on my laptop for playing Valorant and it runs much better than my screen. I get 150+ fps and 144-165 hz.

> 24 hourThis monitor is good for a pc, and an xbox one. If your thinking about getting it for a next gen console (series x series s ps5) and want 120 fps don’t buy this because it doesn’t get it. Otherwise it’s good. I wouldn’t recommend getting this for an xbox one since you can find a 4k 60 hz/fps monitor for cheaper.

> 24 hourThis was ordered for a friend, who will be using a 1660 Ti GPU. It was purchased as a gift originally, but I ordered this one since I have an AMD Card (physical box shows FreeSync). This monitor is advertised as G-Sync, when in fact it is FreeSync. These are two different things. Do not buy unless you are willing to perform the workarounds. That being said, this monitor does its job quite well. I use an RX 580 GPU and I am quite pleased with the performance vs. cost. This is a great budget monitor for those who want to dip into 144fps gaming without breaking the bank, as long as you have an AMD GPU. The stand is nice as well, there is a surprising amount of adjustment available.

> 24 hourFor 165hz and such a low price, its a great monitor. This is my entry into higher refresh rate gaming monitors and I love it. No more dying due to slow refresh rate or input lag. Finally I can lose just because Im bad

> 24 hourFor starters, the monitor itself along with the bezel is much thicker than I thought. The monitor has built in speakers but they are essentially useless as the quality is so poor and they give off an annoying hiss. Im not sure if its the monitors fault but I should note that the gsync seems incredibly inconsistent giving performance boosts in some games and performance hits in others. Lastly, my biggest issue was the half hour of tinkering I had to do with the display settings in order to make the display not look blurry, dried and gray. To the monitors credit once I got the colors and sharpness where I wanted them, gaming was actually very enjoyable and the bezel disappeared into the background better than I thought. The pivots and swivels are very smooth and satisfying to adjust and can help maintain proper posture for those who struggle with posture while sitting. There is also hardly any if any back pannel light bleed. Which was an issue on my previous viotek monitor, so this monitor definitely wont be emitting any seemingly unnecessary light bleed. Some settings that made the image and display quality improve: swapping out of the preset color temp immediately brings more color and less gray. Super sharpening severely decreases the blurriness and brings a much more crisp image. The user color profile is aslo very balanced and neutral. And lastly slightly decreasing the black levels make darks and blues much more crisp and natural, taking a lot of gray out.
