> 3 dayThe first couple of weeks for this monitor was 4 stars. Decent picture quality that required a lot of settings tweaking to get looking right, 144hz was great compared to my old 60hz monitors and a good range of motion. However after a couple of weeks, I started seeing issues. About 50% of the time that my computer and both monitors went to sleep, the monitors would not wake up with the computer. I would get a No Signal message when using the Display Port. The only fix was force restarting my machine. A fix for this was turning off the monitors and flipping the power switch on the back off, but if I ever forgot to do this it had a chance of not waking up from sleep. The G-Sync on the monitor caused flickering when using it in games. The only fix was turning it off completely. About a week later, one of the two monitors started flickering whenever I would move my mouse. I didnt notice it while gaming, but most other apps would be clearly flickering slightly. At that point I just decided the headache of trying to troubleshoot this wasnt worth it and I returned them and replaced them with two ASUS VG248QG 24 165hz monitors. The price is almost the same and Ive had 0 issues with them as opposed to these. I really wanted to like these, but once the issues started it wasnt worth fixing them

> 3 dayThis Monitor is fantastic. The only gripes that I have with it is when it comes out of the box and sound. When you turn it on for the first time the colors seem really washed out and you do have to play with the settings to fix it. That along with the speakers being on the weaker side, Though I didnt expect to live out of the monitors speakers, it was very underwhelming to hear sound come through the speaker. Other than those two, its a fantastic monitor.

Greater than one weekI bought this for the response time and the 144hz refresh rate, but the color issues are making me consider returning it. I like that it comes with a height/tilt adjustable stand--thats part of why I got this one over other options . The color and brightness issues I describe below are the main reason I give it 3 stars. I didnt think it would be as bad as it is. It has worked fine otherwise, so if you still think it wont bother you, it might be worth considering as a 144hz option, but I would recommend comparing it against other options first. *Color issues: I have noticed the frequently cited color issues. Out of the box, the colors are very off and very washed out. After calibrating the color and brightness, it looked a little bit better, but the colors were still off and inconsistent, and screen felt dim because of how low I had to adjust the brightness. The top left corner of the screen on my unit is also slightly more saturated than the rest of the screen which isnt noticeable unless the screen is a solid color like in some menus and on the Windows 10 ctrl+alt+delete screen. I know TN panels often have flat colors, but my laptop has a TN panel that does well enough. The color issues on this panel are extreme. Cables in the box: Mine came with a Displayport cable and a 3.5mm aux jack. You MUST use a Displayport or Dual-Link DVI cable to take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate. Otherwise, it will be capped at a lower refresh rate, so its nice that that was included. I will complain about the color, but props to Acer for including the right cable in the box.

> 3 dayEdit: A few things if youre having trouble!! *** If you arent getting 144 hz: right click on the desktop and select Display Settings. Scroll down to Advanced display settings. Now select Display adapter properties for Display X where X is the display the Acer monitor is at. Now select the Monitor tab, and change the Screen refresh rate to 144 Hertz. Select Apply and then OK and you should be good to go. *** If youre getting No Signal: first try updating your drivers. If you have an Nvidia card, open GeForce Experience to update your drivers. If that still doesnt work, buy a new DisplayPort cord and see if its that. Other than that, you might have to give Amazon or Acer a call. ============================================== Original Review: Mind you, I was coming from an 8-year-old 60hz monitor, but boy are they right when they tell you it is smooth like butter! I came from a 1920x1080 60hz 22 and upgraded to this 1920x1080 144hz 24. the two inches is so noticeable. I love the stand; its so easy to move around, and the up-down motion is ridiculously smooth. Like, its super easy to move up and down, yet it doesnt listen to gravity and slowly fall down? All in all, Im super happy with my purchase! What an improvement! :D

> 3 daySummary: This monitor was excellent for the first few months. After that, I got a dead pixel right in the center of the monitor. It shows as a red dot on a white background and is extremely distracting when reading text (emails, articles/blogs, etc). It likely would not affect gaming as much. Warranty Replacement: As other reviews stated, I contacted Acer and they wanted me to pay to ship back the monitor (UPS quotes ranged from $30-$50 for ground shipping depending on estimated size/weight of the package) and then they would repair it in 7-10 business days, then ship it back. I thought this was completely unacceptable because I run a business on this PC and cannot be without my monitor for an estimated 3-4 weeks. Thats basically telling me I cannot work for nearly a month while they try to fix a dead pixel. If youre ok with this warranty replacement process, by all means, get this monitor. But I believe this is an absolute ridiculous process between paying upwards of $50 to simply send a monitor back to the company where it should have been working in the first place, then also having to wait nearly a month to get it back. This will be the last product I buy from Acer. I never want to deal with this type of warranty process again.

> 3 dayTL;DR -> Great monitor but provided cable apparently died and was no longer delivering signal to the monitor. This resulted in a scare that the monitor had failed. Buying a new cable fixed the issue. This g-sync compatible monitor is excellent for its price and thus very valuable as most other g-sync monitors are at least another $100 more expensive. Out of the box, the picture looks a little brown (at least mine did), almost like the reading view setting on most smartphones. However, with a setting-tinkering, you can get it to look however you like. UNEXPECTED FLAW: This is something that i noticed some other reviewers talk about but though to myself: Surely it wont happen to me, right?. Well it happened.. I received the monitor and hooked it up and started using it with no problems, but fast-forward not even A WEEK later and the monitor goes dark and refuses to show what output through the display port input setting. This was incredibly frustrating, not only for the short time it took to start acting up, but for the fact that without an input from display port, you cannot use the 144hz/g-sync capability... which is likely the reason one would buy this monitor. I tried turning off and on a few times, and even tried changing display ports on my video card but neither of these worked. At this point, i remembered reading a review where the reviewer had the same problem but fixed it by ordering and using a new display cable. Well, however silly that might sound, using a newly-ordered (and 144hz supporting display cable) did the job and i was suddenly able to use my monitor again at 144hz with g sync. The only conclusion i can come to is simply that the provided cable is incredibly cheap and cant handle a high, consistent load during use. So, great monitor, horrible provided cable. If you decide to purchase the monitor, Id recommend purchasing your own display cable.

> 3 dayI was borrowing my friends ASUS VG248QE for a few months as he didnt need it, and when I gave it back, I couldnt get used to 60hz refresh rate again for gaming. I needed a 144hz monitor. I looked at the different offerings from multiple companies, and this one stood our for its price. It is $50 cheaper than the ASUS monitor I mentioned previously, and in my opinion looks better from a build quality stand point. Plus, at this price, the inclusion of Freesync is awesome, even though I have an Nvidia card. Very pleased with my purchase so far, but if anything happens, I will update this review. Pros: PRICE Good build quality Freesync No dead pixels (yet) Includes a display port, which in my opinion is the best option for connectivity Stand is fully adjustable and can rotate to 90 degrees 1ms response time Very easy to put together and is easily able to be attached to a VESA mount. Viewing angles from the sides are actually very good, and will look fine in a 3 monitor setup Cons: Color accuracy is not the best, but is to be expected from a TN panel, but it is perfectly fine for playing games. The seam around my display does not seem to be pushed together all the way, but it isnt a big deal. I wish the speakers were louder, but at least they are there. I HIGHLY recommend this monitor

> 3 dayGot this monitor for the PS4 pro. I have always played on my tv, but I decided to get a pc and wanted to play my PS4 at my desk. It’s completely different playing on this monitor then my tv. The response time between the monitor and the PS4 controller is almost instant and it improves your playing so much vs playing on a tv! Although this monitor isn’t HDR compatible for the PS4 pro/ps5, the picture still looks crisp and clear! Nice and bright and has many settings to adjust it to your liking. The speakers are not great, but I would never use so it’s not an issue. 10/10 and would definitely recommend!!

> 3 dayI was reading a review and saw someone else experience the exact same issue I have. Sometimes the display will go blank and show nothing. This could happen for days and then eventually work fine again. If I looked at a second monitor when the issue occurred, I could see windows recognizing the device when its on and hiding the device when its off, so it seems like there is a signal being sent. The monitor was just not displaying it. The monitor is relatively cheap compare to other high refresh rate monitors(At the time I bought it in 2017). I had this issue occur to me multiple times and I even sent it to Acer twice to get repaired. Shipping I had to cover each time. Both times, the monitor got sent back to me saying they could not reproduce the issue and no repairs were done on it. I narrowed down the issue to the monitor. Some testing I did was use different GPUs, use a different display port and use a different cable. All the while I had a second monitor that did not have any issues at all. One solution was to use the HDMI port but that was only limited to 120Hz, not the 144Hz advertised and the reason why I chose this. I had some issues with FreeSync as well, causing the entire display(more like the backlight) to look like its flickering and it was very distracting. I wound up buying a new monitor and have not had any issues with that since. Since the warranty has expired, Im attempting to use the benefit on my Amazon Prime card of extending the warranty an extra year for certain products. I reached out to Acer to get a repair estimate, their standard fee for out of warranty repairs is $179. Youd be better off just buying the monitor again after factoring shipping.

Greater than one weekThis monitor was a great work from home workhorse for me for just over a year. It died yesterday, and as I picked it up to move off my desk, found a puddle of some sort of oil where the base had been sitting. Concerned now for possible toxicity that may have seeped into my not-very-cheap desk! Here’s hoping the bleach I have on hand did a good job. But who knows how long I’ve been working around whatever that goo was. Yikes. So this was a great monitor… until it wasn’t.
