> 3 dayI bought this G-Sync monitor and was extremely excited to get it up and running. The minute I got home from work and plugged it into my video card, things started to go south. First off, my second monitor which was plugged into my VC via HDMI was no longer recognized. I went to reboot to see if that would fix the problem and suddenly my computer had a crash dump, which it hasnt had in 3 years. Once the crash dump was finished processing I decided to reinstall my video card drivers to see if that would fix the issue. Once again, I rebooted, and once again, I got a crash dump. Something about this monitor was conflicting with my video card. I decided to give up on trying to fix that and instead moved on to see how the monitor impacted my gameplay. I booted up Diablo 3 and was prepared to be blown away--but no change. I started to google how to set up my G-sync monitor. Pages upon pages of instructions until I finally found a simple process. I opened my NVidia control panel and went to the place where enabling G-Sync was supposed to be and it wasnt there. I even verified through the NVidia site that my video card supported G-Sync so I was at a loss. Another googled webpage told me to turn on Vertical Sync via my NVidia control panel and that that would enable G-Sync---once again to no avail. I finally called a computer expert friend of mine for some help. He remoted in and tried to do all the same steps I did and wasnt able to find any option to enable G-Sync. He was though, able to go into my monitor setting and turn it up to 144hz, which DID look amazing. But no G-sync for gameplay. So thats all the technical headache. Aesthetically, this monitor has much to be desired and is really showing its age. The monitor is thick, with a thick frame. Doesnt match the look and feel of modern, sleeker monitors. Looked like an ugly stepchild when sitting next to my Dell monitor. Pros: 144hz looks nice Very reasonable price for a monitor Cons: Very difficult to get working properly Not compatible with some NVidia video cards Ugly aesthetics

> 3 dayFirst off if you order this from amazon, get the gift wrapping option. They come shipped in their factory box which clearly advertises what is inside the box. My first one disappeared or was never arrived to my house. Amazon was awesome and replaced it and I was on standby the whole day it was to arrive lol. That aside, I’m really pleased with the monitor itself. It’s the first “gaming” monitor I’ve ever owned so with nothing to compare it against, it does what it advertises. The packaging in the box is very protective. Assembly is quick, intuitive, and no tools are needed. The base is stable, which is welcome since this monitor can be rotated, swiveled, raised and lowered in height, ect. I didn’t have any dead pixels in my screen thankfully. Picture is great. I haven’t played any fast paced games so can’t comment on that aspect, the games I do play are better presented since this is much bigger than any monitor I’ve owned previous. On that note, if you are buying your first monitor, because you are sitting closer, monitors appear larger than you might think having bought tv’s. What I mean is a 24 inch tv for watching the news is tiny, but this monitor for gaming is about the limits of how big I want a monitor. I had to look at the box and make sure it was the correct one/size. (Glad I didn’t buy a 37”) Anyway, it does 144hz 1080p and IMO does it well for a really great price. Haven’t had it long, so hopefully the reliability is on par with everything else so far. At this time I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor back in 2019 december so its just been about 3 years. I am still using it as I speak and its been an awesome monitor. No dead pixels or anything, the only thing that has bugged me with this monitor is a group of atleast 2 or 3 stuck pixels that will be on my screen but to fix it all I do is barely push on my monitor where the pixel is and it goes away for a while, itll come back in weeks to months later but its not a huge deal to me, still a great monitor for the price.

> 3 dayLiterally an amazing monitor, and for the price it makes it that much more satisfying. My only complaint is that Acers out of the box colors are bland and kinda bleak even faded a little. (This is super repeated on reviews I know). With a little tweaking and fiddling with the built in adjustment menu it’s easily fixed and you can modify it to your liking to extreme lengths. I messed with it for like 2 hours after I achieved my desired appearance just because it was kind of fun. The menu is kind of cool and well setup. Only reason why it was 4.5 out of 5 is because I don’t feel like I should have to mess with settings unless it’s really that bad out of the box.. which it kind of was - but now that I got it set how I like it, I’m in love.

> 3 dayRecieved one with dead pixels out of the box. However I am getting an exchange. From the short time I used it with the defective pixel, The performance was good. You may need to go adjust your monitor to 144hz as it may be factory set at 60hz. BEWARE nvidia purist! The monitor is not G-sync its AMD freesync. If you are in need for 144hz while on a budget this will do you just fine with no frills. The audio is comparable to a 1999 honda civic with 200,000 miles on it. But Im sure most of you keep your headsets on when you go into incognito mode anyways. Overall its a good budget monitor if you are seeking 144hz with 1080p quality. Otherwise take more shifts at work and get something that doesnt make you feel suspicious and read reviews because you want to be a cheap ass.

> 3 dayI have TWO of these bad boys on my gaming desk. Very nice picture, very bright screen, and very responsive. I cant really complain at all with this monitor but if I had to give it ANY criticism it would be that the speaker(s) is/are complete trash so youll need headphones or a headset and the DisplayPort cable is very short. I mean, a 6 foot cable isnt too much to ask for in my opinion and I think the one in the box is 4 feet long. I have a pretty big desk so I had to go out and buy 2 new cables to get everything working correctly and actually plugged in. Otherwise, these are great monitors and G-Sync compatibility is a HUGE plus as I run a 1660TI in my gaming rig. Definitely a great buy for gamers.

Greater than one weekPros: Quality is great, my panel came shipped fine with no dead pixels or anything. 144hz, 1ms, 24inch monitor, with a good amount of adjustment in the stand. Gaming is smooth, super smooth, like wow this is going to make playing on my Xbox impossible smooth. This monitor is under 200$ not on sale, I think this will be the best deal for a monitor for a while. Cons: Out of the box the brightness is way high, colors are a bit washed out (like others have mentioned). This can be fixed by spending some time tweaking the settings though, I found setup values on Reddit that have helped but I still need to do some playing around. Okay here comes the one thing I hate about this monitor: switching input on this panel is such a chore. The moment the monitor looses signal from a source it starts cycling through DP, HDMI, DVI, but it doesnt seem to stay on each input long enough to actually detect the display port input source. For example; I have my monitor as a main monitor and a second old panel to the side. The Acer is set up as primary, but I also have my xbox hooked up through HDMI. Ill switch my computer to secondary display only, and turn my xbox on. The Acer cycles through inputs and find the xbox every time. When I turn my Xbox off and on my desktop go back to the extended desktop setting, the monitor will cycle inputs but skip right over the display port even though its hooked up to the PC. Ive even had the issue where after I do this cycle the PC has a hard time recognizing the Acer display through the Display port, and I have to unplug the Acer from the PC and plug it back in to have it actually recognize and send signal to the monitor. This is annoying. BUT, I paid 200$ for a 144hz 1ms 24 inch monitor, its hard to complain. I paid a discounted price for this monitor, and even though Ive been having this small issue I would buy this again for a 1080p build. In the future Ill probably save up a bit more for a second panel that has better input switching, but again if I had the same funds as before and was putting together a complete system on a hard budget even knowing what I know now, I would buy this in a heartbeat.

> 3 day**** Update, 3 years now, im replacing it with an MSI monitor, i still think this is a fairly solid monitor over all. But i still cant get the colors right. i have spent most of the time with this monitor having the light colors washed out because i need to see in dark areas in my games. The three hundred price point for this is way too high. if you get it on sale and it ticks all your boxes go for it, but there are way better monitors for less money. **** original review*** On paper this monitor has everything you could want, 144hz, dp and hdmi input, basic speakers if you dont have any other ones, audio pass through, vsync.... all the bells and whistles... but i can NOT get the colors to look right on this... the worst part is the darks are way too dark, i try to compensate with nvidia control panel settings, but if i adjust the settings to make dark colors look good the light colors get washed out. if i adjust the light colors to look right, all the dark colors are just black and you cant see anything in dark videogames, shows, or movies..... i would not buy it again. other than the color settings issues, its has everything you could want... if i ever figure out the color settings ill update my review, but ive already had this monitor for almost 2 years now i think? and i mess with it frequently and cant get it right so dont hold your breath.
