> 24 hourThis wouldve been a great buy if it wasnt for the faulty charging cables. I seen others complaining about it and figured maybe they got a bad shipment. However, I have the same problem. I have to keep replugging it in to get it to work.

> 24 hourI just purchased this 2 days ago, and it literally showed up today, I started it up, and low and behold the internal wifi killer 6 doesnt work. So now I have to send the laptop off to acer to be repaired even though I just received it today. Do not recommend this at all

> 24 hourI bought the Nitro with 17 screen and Intel core i7 processor not as much for gaming, but as a very up to date everyday computer. I do play some games and watch loads of videos, and the video quality is fantastic. Sound is far superior than my last HP Pavilion laptop. I like the lighted keyboard, but normally turn off the back lights since I am not thrilled with the red colored keys with white back lighting. I plug in a separate lighted LED keyboard (where I can choose the key color and brightness). and mouse. For owners who are upset with the keyboard lights turning off so fast, you can set them to stay on longer in the computer settings or NitroSense window control setting.

> 24 hourIt got here today. Taking and holding a charge. Connected to wifi. Setup done. Steam installed. Usb ports and headphone jack work. No issues so far. Will update the review after a bit, when Ive been able to really put it to the test. Only thing I can say is that there couldve been packing material in the amazon box, since the laptop box could move around. But it was all undamaged so it was handled carefully.

> 24 hourAcer Nitro 5 is a solid Mid level laptop. The Nitro 5 comes in several different variations, not only regarding RAM (8 Gb in this case) or SSD memory (512 GB in this case), but also as I discovered by expanding memory, the internal hardware of Nitro 5 can be different.

> 24 hourWent to plug it in & set it up on arrival & immediately it would not turn on. Battery light wouldn’t come on when it was plugged in so I called Acer tech support & now have to send the laptop in to get repaired. Took an hour to take out of the box, figure out it was busted, & repackage everything. Now I have to wait for a shipping label, drop it off and wait 7-10 business days for a new laptop to be fixed. Not great quality control.

> 24 hourSo I had the older version of this laptop for years and did not have a SINGLE problem, sadly during transportation in my vehicle, the screen got hit and cracked, so I couldve replaced the screen, but figured I should upgrade to this one because the space on this is a bit bigger, and I think it was time. So I had high expectations for this one, and it definitely didnt meet them. I dont like that the backlight doesnt stay on anymore and you have to hit a random key for it to light up, and if you play in the dark, you dont know what youre hitting. No clue why Acer would do this and not add an option to keep it lit. The community even backlashed against it but they dont care I guess, anywho, when I try to type my pin to get in, it will say that my pin needs to be set up again, which it doesnt, and the way I have to fix it is by resetting my pin, or restarting my computer, both kind of annoying. It also keep freezing, its slow to change between tabs sometimes, and buffers ALOT. My old Nitro 5 never did that and was running like it was a top of the line PC. Kind of annoyed at it, the bluetooth is kinda iffy as well, I have bluetooth headphones and for some reason it auto connects to it when it feels like it, other times I have to manually connect them, it does this for all the pairs (3) Ive connected to it. I dont know, Ive never had headaches with the old model, but this one kinda bummed me out because I expected much more..
