> 24 hourIt boots up quickly and my games all run smoothly on high graphics. It does tend to get a little hot, but from what Ive seen, the temperatures are normal for gaming laptops of this level. Get yourself a cooling stand and you should be fine. My only complaint would be how much of a nuisance up was to set up my Seagate HDD, but even that issue was solved pretty easily after a bit of searching on the Acer forum.

> 24 hourI got this laptop 4 days ago.The screen of this laptop is very good. The keyboard buttons have also great quality. My all games are working very fine in this laptop without any lag.The temperature goes almost 70 degree Celsius during gaming and battery life is only 1 hour during gaming. As this product give high performance less battery life is obvious...

> 24 hourVery good value. Powerful and can handle demandind loads for music production with heavy plugin use. It has anice feature where you can control fan speed and regulate the temperature manually. I like everything about this laptop except the battery life. Its terrible. I get about an hour maybe an hour and a half of life off the charger on airplane mode with lowest screen brightness and only running my DAW.

> 24 hourPower supply started to randomly fail under heavy load I.E. gaming. after a year and a half of using this laptop, thermal paste was applied as well as proper cleaning procedures monthly. It was good when it worked but it didn’t for long. I’m a little disappointed in the durability of this laptop

> 24 hourI’ll preface this review with saying that I am returning the first one of these laptops that I purchased. What does that mean? The laptop isnt perfect! Id give it a 3.5 as of now.

> 24 hourI had been waiting indefinitely for video card prices to come down after the bitcoin bubble, and the Helios 300 allowed me to get a 1060 and 144Hz screen at a competitive price compared to a new desktop. The two drawbacks are obvious: heat management and battery life. Compared to any other similarly priced laptop, this thing sucks down power and dies in 4 hours; its expected and I simply expect to be plugged in if Im using much CPU/GPU. As for heat management, Ive got Throttlestop downvolting the CPU as many in the reviews for this laptop have done, I use fan management software, I have a cooling pad, and I just accept that the fans are going to be loud. Everything else is amazing as advertised: the 144Hz screen with improved color range from previous models, I love the feel of the keyboard and the numpad, the CPU is amazing for any windows tasks and it even has enough RAM to run Chrome.
