> 3 dayInstalled xubuntu and the battery life is amazing! Light tasks like web browsing and word processing can exceed 12 hours of battery life, while gaming can have between 2 and 6 hours depending on the game. Its not a powerhouse for gaming, so 720p low settings to get a good framerate, but its battery life makes it fantastic for older titles. The lightweight design and size makes it great for taking back and forth to classes.

Hello!
> 3 dayI bought this for my son who is starting college, he won’t be doing a lot of papers on it so it is great for him. It’s light weight, has a nice processor but not a lot of storage, which we really didn’t need. He likes it and it does what he needs. I will say the first one had to be sent back due to a missing and/or bad driver and I did have to call tech support and yes, they are foreign so that did annoy me. It was exchanged with no problems.

> 3 dayI bought this laptop for myself after searching for a new one for my wife. She got a Dell Inspiron, BTW. I have a 2.5 year old Acer Swift 1 I purchased renewed from Amazon for $200 and it has outperformed my expectations at every turn. I lug it around everywhere. It has excellent battery life and just does the job. But with a Pentium Silver (a 2000+ on Passmark) it can be a little slow depending on what I am doing. And running PopOs is probably out. I use XFCE on it. The idea behind the purchase of the Swift 3 was to improve some things without sacrificing anything I already had with the Swift 1. I believe this laptop gets me a little closer to perfection. Here are the good and the bad:

Greater than one weekMy Acer Swift went bad in less than a year! It would constantly freeze and go black requiring me to power off multiple times every week. Acer tried not to honor the warranty. After I finally got them to acknowledge it was still under warranty, they supposedly replaced the SSD. Less than 5 months later, I started getting blue screen errors and booting Windows became impossible. Guess what? It was the SSD AGAIN!!! I paid to get it fixed AGAIN from my own pocket. When I attempted to reach out to Acer to suggest that their repair was flawed to start with, I was ignored.

> 3 dayWe have had this laptop - 16GB 512 GB SSD - for about a week. Easiest computer I have ever set up even though the supplied documentation is a 6 page pamphlet. Turn it on and follow the prompts.
