I would absolutely recommend this pencil sharpener because it does let you choose how sharp it is and it is very fast too. This even works on colored pencils which is wonderful for me and it has not broken any points so far and it will shut off when it finishes sharping. This is also not to loud , I have my pet rabbits around me and it does not scare them as a reference as how low the noise is

Full story below: Stop working 5 days after my Amazon return window. I did feel robbed for what I paid for this $$. I decided to figure out what it could have been. There’s a pressure switch that is pushed down when the container is on. I decided to start their. After offering it it still didn’t work. I took it apart and bypassed the switch with some copper wire from an old usb. This is the grounding side so it’s safe to use. Sure enough I pushed down on the middle pressure switch and the motor kicked on. I have an extra star for the success of my repair. This is my two daughters’ and it’s in constant use from crayons to color pencils. It works good and I wanna give three stars for that. But, the pressure switch to make sure the container is on, and that plastic rod is a failure point if your continuously emptying. Broke again!!!! This time the pressure switch in the middle. I had to dismantle and it all fell out. Do it do this. I bypass the switch and it worked. I checked the switch and it worked again. I can’t bypass the switch because then it defeats the purpose of the pressure switch and it’ll have to be unplugged after every use and I don’t find this at all safe for my fire year old. Disappointed in this product. Cheap is the word that comes to mind. Thankfully after reassembling it worked again, for how long? I’ll keep you posted… They sent me a replacement! Customer service 3 stars! Thank you. The new ones lasted me just as long now. I must of gotten a defective one. My new one works good and my youngest , as aggressive as she is it’s hold I’m good.

So glad to have spent a few more dollars to purchase what I think is a GREAT pencil sharpener. I sharpened about a dozen pencils in varying styles, sizes and colors and all were beautifully sharp in just a minute or so. Who knew someone could get so excited about a pencil sharpener!! Hoping it lasts well and for a long time.

I bought mine a year ago. Its fantastic. It has two settings, one for a really sharp point to use for drawing/sketching and on slightly blunter for writing. So I bought one for my grand kids this year. Once the pencil is sharp it stops, and it will not sharpen a sharp pencil. So my grand kids cant cant turn their pencils into tiny nubs.

I like that the sharpener turns itself off once the pencil is sharpened.

The pencil sharpener stands up and takes less room on the desktop. It sharpens pencils well as advertised. It’s a little difficult to empty the shavings so be sure when you unplug it, you hold it over a trashcan. I read this in one of the previous reviews and it helped me a lot. The color selection is good and the pencils are nice and sharp.

This sharpener did a fine job - the points came very sharp and even, with no lead breakage.

I’ve been through several that have short, lopsided points. Use them once and you’re low on lead. This one sharpens every bit as well as the one you used in grade school! Buy it!
