It’s simple plug and play. Plug the adapter to The sharpener and into the outlet and you’re off sharpening pencils. You have the option to pick what they call “blunt” or “sharp.” You wouldn’t buy a sharpener to produce a blunt tip, would you? Both provide pretty sharp tips. It should be sharp or sharper... You can see a little difference in the photo. When the sharpener is full, it’s easy to twist the top off to empty. So far so good, I’m hoping this sharpener lasts!

Im a teacher and my students broke my last pencil sharpener. This one automatically stops when the pencil is sharp, which is great! Easy to empty, but not the largest storage space for the shavings.
