Survived a whole year of Kindergarten, where they use the thick pencils and thick colored pencils, hold their pencils in too long, and are convinced their pencil needs to be sharpened daily. Ive only unjammed it maybe 3x, and easily. Sharpens until the pencil is less than 2 long. Oversharpens if the user pushes the pencil in hard enough. Once sharpened approx 400 thick pencils in a day with no problem. Lost a star because it does oversharpen and it can make a huge mess if a kid tries to empty it.

Best sharpener ever

I have to say I do believe this is the best pencil sharpener I have ever owned! It took longer to unbox it, remove all of the protective packaging, and plug it in than it did to sharpen my pencil! In a matter of 3 seconds or so I had a sharpened pencil. Remember the days when pencil sharpeners ate your pencil? This one doesnt do that! Remember the days when the pencil sharpeners sharpened the pencil but the lead fell out as soon as you took the pencil out of the sharpener? This doesnt happen. My pencil was perfectly sharpened all the way around the pencil. This pencil sharpener is an excellent value for the money. Having a great pencil sharpener is crucial but having a high quality pencil just makes everything better. I do recommend you buy Ticonderoga pencils to get the best of both worlds.

Gets my colored pencils I use to color with nice and sharp without breaking the lead. Easy to use, easy to clean. So far I love it!

This pencil sharpener is for you. Plugs into the wall so no shortage of power. I reckon you could put a Phillips head screwdriver in this bad boy and it would come out looking like a world class ice pick (j/k don’t do that). Easy to remove debris (who decided that should be spelled that way), which is a plus as well.

Easy to setup and use. Great value for the money. Different size pencils fit and you can adjust how sharp or blunt you want the points. Seems to be very sturdy. Im do glad I made this purchase.

works great. we use it primaqllary for colored pencils, prismacolor. our wasting 25% of our pencils from broken lead from sharpening. have not broken a single lead with the Afmat sharpener. There is no residual color bleed when going from dark to light lead (black to white pencils for example). The auto-stop works the same on each use. Nice angle on the cut giving a super useable point. We sharpened a set of 72 pencils. The same cut on #72 as #1. The shavings bin is large. Just Make Sure To Open OVER a Trash can the first time you empty, it can make a mess until you get the hang of taking the collection bin off of the base. Highly Recommend

This pencil sharpener is well-designed & works beautifully. Pencils come out sharpened every time. A unique design aspect is the simple spring-loaded holding feature. It prevents side forces from imparting on the blades which breaks tips with cheaper sharpeners. The vertical design also makes it easy to keep the pencil centered. The blades are high quality. Emptying the sharpener is easy. Highly recommend it!
