Once I figured out you had to push the pencils in to be sharpened, but overall I love the product.

I just received this unit yesterday. Super fast shipping even though I requested the slower method. Everything that that AFMAT claims about this sharpener has been accurate, and the MORE is, that this unit was much more heftier and well made than I had expected for the $29.94 price tag. Through the years I have gone through sharpeners that cost more $$$ but were too light weight and fragile. This sharpener does not dance around the desk or bind up when the pencil is only half sharpened. The blades are the secret to the success of all AFMAT sharpeners...all high grade steel. This is the second AFMAT that I have purchased in the last 5 months. The first is an office desk model which is equal sound in construction and function. I am a watercolorist and needed a sharpener to handle the charcoal and watercolor pencil leads as well as the various hardness of the graphite without make powder out the softer leads. This one does it all! I doubt that I will ever have to purchase another pencil sharpener. (Im 75! LOL)) But if I do it will be another AFMAT. Kudos to the engineers and manufacturers.

I purchased this in March of 2022. Worked flawlessly for ALL my pencils, including square ones, and Prismacolor soft ones. Recently I started having an intermittent problem, so I reached out to the AFMAT customer service people. Their response was prompt, and after sending a photo of the sharpener helical apparatus, they were able to determine the problem. They sent a replacement unit which arrived ever so swiftly. I am again enjoying this great electric sharpener. I have been so impressed with this company that I also purchased their electric eraser. Seriously, after reading other reviews and fooling with many manual sharpeners, I feel that Ive luckily happened upon the perfect one. Many thanks to the AFMAT staff as well.

It sharpens pencils fine. It’s like a super speed beaver. It auto stops when the pencil is sharp. It is heavy enough to not require you to hold it down as you sharpen. It supposedly has two sharpness settings. I have tried them and they do seem a little different but both are quite long. I guess I would have liked one to be more like a golf pencil level of sharpness, but it’s not. One setting is long (like a regular pencil), and the other setting is slightly longer. The electric cord is long enough. It seems durable.

This pencil sharpener works great. Its fast and you dont have to shove the pencil in to get it to work.

I like this product because it works well sharpening pencils fast and easy. Easy to remove to clean. I do recommend this product.

I love this beautiful pencil sharpener! Works super well and fast. You can stick a pencil in there in any shape and it will fix it up. I had an issue 8 months after I bought it, and I reached out to customer service on afmat website and they responded quickly and helped me resolved the issue!!

Very power will eat up pencil if hold down for too long or hard.

Works great. Shuts off when the pencil is sharpened and the pencil gets a perfect point all the way around. Great for all the different art pencils I use.

Great but do not use for COLOR PENCILS, good color pencils are too soft, this makes them break too easily
