I love this pencil sharpener. I love the long, extra-sharp point it makes. I love the auto-stop feature, so I dont have to guess whether the pencil is sharp yet. I love the fact that it takes multiple sizes of pencil, and without having to mess with any dials or other settings. I love that I havent had any pencil leads break while being sharpened, which is seriously a thing when youre using expensive colored and watercolor pencils. About the only negative I can think of is that its pretty loud, but hey, its an electric pencil shapener. Loud is in its DNA, so, meh. Great sharpener, highly recommended.

I decided not to keep this item due to the reviews that stated this sharpener ate up their expensive colored pencils. I wont take that chance and didnt want to ruin a brand new item. Item was packaged nicely and seems sturdy enough. I gave 3 stars as I didnt try it and didnt want to give 1 or 5 so went for the middle.

I dread letting my students use colored pencils because I never could find a sharpener that did a good job sharpening them and also stayed sharp for regular pencils. I just got this one and sharpened a half gallon bag of colored pencils and the motor didn’t even get hot. It gave my pencils, incredibly sharp tips, and none of the tips of broke off in the sharpener. I am pleased with my purchase and will update as I continue using it.

Sharpens fast, produces solid non-splintered point. Doesn’t eat pencils. Locks in un-sharpened pencil; releases when pencil is sharpened. Highly recommend!

Very nice looking and very useful for my mini office. The base is steady . And best of all it is useable for a lot of pencil and crayons

We ordered this AFMAT sharpener after our faithful battery operated sharpener suddenly died after 5 years of near daily use - found out it was no longer available from the manufacturer (such a sad bummer!) I was a bit worried that a differed style would satisfy our high expectations. We homeschool and we use colored pencils galore. Thankfully, this sharpener blew us away! Pros: Its fast! that 3 second advertisement on the box is legit. My leads come to a sharp, clean point. It hasnt broken any lead (yet) It has 2 settings (6mm & 12mm), a minute difference but helpful between what I use (more fine point) vs. my kids (more blunt) It fits ALL our colored pencils - including the super fat ones from Lakeshore Learning! It has an auto stop - perfect for my littles who sometimes sharpen for fun. The shavings reservoir is big and takes a while to fill up - so youre not constantly dumping it out. The reservoir is easy to dump and put back together. Cons: Its corded - so not as mobil as our last one - so we really can only use this one at home Like all heavy duty sharpeners, its loud. BUT only for 3 secs at a time. :) It leans a bit toward to chews it up side - however, Im finding that were not resharpening as often. *We use Ticonderoga pencils, as well as cheap decorated pencils. The paper wrapping doesnt affect this beast. *Our colored pencils range from dollar store to Prismacolor with most of them being Arteza brand.

After purchasing this AFMAT Pencil Sharpener I gave it a good trial run by sharpening multiple pencils of different diameters. It sharpened every one to a perfect even point. Definitely worth the money!

So glad I got it, my old one was eating pencils so decided to get a new one, this one stops when its done so no guessing. Would highly recommend!
