The directions have you assemble things in a weird order that makes assembly very difficult. Also the side bars have to stick out a minimum of four notches cause they hit they each other and can’t go any closer. Also the metal is slippery and the ac unit moves easily, maybe if it was textured it would be a little more stable.

I needed a drill-less bracket for my AC and chose this item. Although you dont need to drill the bracket into your outside wall you still need a handful of tools to assemble the bracket itself properly. The instructional video has a lot of unnecessary steps which will require you, as shown in the video, to make constant adjustments to the bracket. For an instructional/installation video there is way too much trial and error. The first step of the video asks you to measure the distance from the outside wall to your window frame and by the end completely ignores that measurement as they adjust the bracket based only on it being level. The measurement and initial placements of the support legs they ask you to do are completely unnecessary. The video itself readjusts the support legs 3 times in order to install the bracket correctly. If you purchase this item I would ignore the video and only adjust the bracket so its level to your window frame. Constantly readjusting the legs is a pain especially as you have to go back and forth with tightening/loosening screws with pliers.

    Air conditioner support.

Easy to assemble. The pieces were too big to anchor the bracket in place, so I had to go to Home Depot to get some. That wasn’t an issue. Only issue I had after assembly, and trying to install it the the window was that no matter how hard I tightened with my drill set, the bracket wouldn’t hold shape. I had to drill more bits into the racket itself to get it to sit correctly on the concrete on the outside wall. It was the only way I could get it to stay how it needed to be in order for it to hold its shape.

This bracket is good. Easy to assemble and install. But, it left a large gap under the air conditioner that had to be filled with a 2 x 3 and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 air conditioner foam.

This worked out great for me, mostly! I did not want to drill holes into my window frame to install an AC unit that I would be taking out again in the Fall so I purchased this support bracket. I also wanted to make sure that the AC unit did not fall from my 2nd story place and hit someone. It worked great, with a few notes: 1. The assembly part was a bit tricky for me as you have to install legs in a certain direction and I missed that part of the instructions but it was easy enough to undo and fix. 2. Also, it was hard to seal the air gap left in between the bracket and where the AC unit rests on it. This is not covered in any instructions I researched, including their online video. It might work better if you have two people to install the AC so you could drop it on top of some insulation you install on the bracket. I was sliding the AC onto the bracket myself so that didnt work for me. I used some painters tape to try to seal up the gaps that I could reach and it was fine for the summer. 3. I also had a problem when I removed the bracket for the Fall- it peeled off a bit of paint where the feet were resting against my outside wall. I covered the feet with painters tape in hopes that it will not do it again next year. With those notes, I would definitely recommend this support bracket for anyone who wants more support for their Window AC unit, especially if you do not want to have to drill holes in your house. I was able to install a 60lb AC unit by myself and not have to worry about dropping it during the process.

I like the final result is strong and you not need a drill. Putting the pieces together takes time I recommend to look at the video, thats help a lot.

I personally dont want to leave this unsecured to wind not really easy to install but also not hard. Overpriced for what it is. to be fair though it is sturdy

If your air conditioner has a bar or feet on the bottom, or the bottom of your unit isnt completely flat, this bracket will not work with your air conditioner. Alpine Hardware was very responsive with their support so I cannot complain about that.
