> 3 dayI would first like to say that my review is not base on the product itself but the inability to be able to use the product. I live in Canada and this was the perfect solution to installing my new 10,000 BTU A/C unit. I happley purchased the bracket and was excited to receive it after watching the video on how it was installed. Once I received the bracket, I started to look at the bracket and figure out how to install this in my 2 pain sliding window. I was having problems because based on the video, MY assumption was it went on the far inside lip of my window ledge but my friend who is a carpenter said that after watching the video that it goes between the 2 windows. That would make sense given where the bracket needs to sit. I miss judged based on video so I was unable to use the bracket (and the new A/C) for its intended purpose. Im not saying its a bad product but the video was perhaps miss leading. My suggestion is update the video and do a walk through in the video on how to PROPERLY install the bracket. Again, possibly because of the double windows and the gap being too small to install the bracket is the problem its difficult to rate the product itself. I suspect it IS a great product. Just not for my situation.

> 3 dayAs the title states, this is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. From a design and metal quality standpoint it’s fine, but trying to put this thing together took literally hours, and that was with two people. The included directions might as well not exist, and the video for it is also an absolute disaster, it should banned from YouTube. There was not enough hardware included to build it properly, so I was only able to use 75% of the included screwsolts. I have absolutely 0 clue what its actually doing in my window right now or if it’s even really holding up the air conditioner. I was able to eventually cobble it together, but that was only after taking it apart and putting it back together about 5x... Both the directions and the video show you how to build the item, and then in the following steps essentially tell you to completely take it apart again. • If you hate yourself enough to buy this item, or you are really desperate and live in an apartment like I do where you can’t readily drill into your windows, I advise watching the video IN FULL (don’t bother reading the directions they were written by someone with wet brain), from start to finish, several times.... And while building this thing, if you find yourself with not enough hardware, pray. Just pray and believe and hope that this thing will stay together and not come crashing down and take out the persons AC who lives below you.

> 3 dayI needed a drill-less bracket for my AC and chose this item. Although you dont need to drill the bracket into your outside wall you still need a handful of tools to assemble the bracket itself properly. The instructional video has a lot of unnecessary steps which will require you, as shown in the video, to make constant adjustments to the bracket. For an instructional/installation video there is way too much trial and error. The first step of the video asks you to measure the distance from the outside wall to your window frame and by the end completely ignores that measurement as they adjust the bracket based only on it being level. The measurement and initial placements of the support legs they ask you to do are completely unnecessary. The video itself readjusts the support legs 3 times in order to install the bracket correctly. If you purchase this item I would ignore the video and only adjust the bracket so its level to your window frame. Constantly readjusting the legs is a pain especially as you have to go back and forth with tightening/loosening screws with pliers.

Greater than one weekSince the written instructions for the two-arm, heavy duty version (drilling required) of this bracket are almost impossible to follow, a good installation video is needed, but there are a lot of problems in Alpines installation video. Mainly, the sections showing how to install the connector bar are pretty screwed up - it shows the long hex bar being inserted at different locations. Also, in the section for the final installation (at 2:52 of the video), the connector bar magically disappears altogether. More detailed comments, with many of the flaws in the video, can be found at the YouTube version of this video (the two arm, heavy duty, drilling required version). Alpine did a really sloppy job with this video.

Greater than one weekI don’t often write reviews. And I normally think people are just being dramatic when they say something was hard to put together because most things are pretty easy. But holy cow, the written instructions for this thing are rotten. I even looked up the YouTube video the company puts out - also not great. The hand putting things together in the video is in the way in many shots. On top of that, the screws and nuts go into such awkward places that it was next to impossible to get some of them as tight as you’d like. It works fine now that it’s put together, but I’d never buy it again or recommend it to anyone.

> 3 dayI like the final result is strong and you not need a drill. Putting the pieces together takes time I recommend to look at the video, thats help a lot.

> 3 dayIt is a good, sturdy bracket, especially at that price. It takes a little bit of skill at assembling things to put together and was a bit more of a project than I anticipated, but I had it done and set in about half an hour.

> 3 dayPros: Its nice and really heavy duty. I can see this lasting a long time. It also has a built in level which was handy during installation. Cons: The setup 1) The paper instructions are not helpful at all. Thank god they had a setup video. 2) It is not easy to get the angle/Position of the arms correct. You have to unscrew the bolts, reposition the arms then screw it all back together again. You have to do this over and over again until you get the angle correct. Other AC Unit support brackets did not have this. You just pressed a button on the arm and it lets you reposition it.
