amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch 2017 (2-Pack)

I have used this screen protect for a couple of years I am only pretty careful with my switch but it just fell off my bed and off first on the ground. I was terrified I had damaged the screen and then remember I had this screen protector on it. My switch screen is 100% free of cracks and scratches thank goodness. This screen protector did exactly what it was supposed to do. Keep my switch safe!

Bought some for both of my kids Switches. One got dropped hard and the protector was cracked in several places but the screen was completely intact without a scratch. Purchased 2 more packs to replace it and have some extras.

I bought this product to accompany my sons new Nintendo Switch in 2018. Fast forward two years later and the glass film cover still looked perfect, until my son got a little frustrated with a new game and took it out on his game console. This caused multiple fractures and breaks in the glass. Forgetting that I had installed this protector two years prior, I was very upset that he had broken the screen. Upon closer inspection, I remembered the protector and slowly peeled it away, revealing a perfect and undamaged Switch screen. I immediately installed the second screen protector and I am now writing my first ever product review on Amazon. Buy this product now!

I took everyone’s advice on applying the screen protector in a hot steamy shower room. I guess I ran the water a bit too hot, not realizing that it would cause condensation on screen, silly me! Anywho, I forged forwards anyways and applied the alcohol wipe followed by the dry wipe. After which I slowly and meticulously laid the screen protector onto the screen. I proceeded to use the squeeze cardprovided in the packaging to remove all excess air bubbles, the squeeze card didn’t remove all the bubbles though. But it did at least help move them closer to the edges. After fidgeting with it, I used my thumbnail to see if that would work better and to my astonishment it did! In fact, I maintain that, had I used my thumbnail instead of the squeeze card, I could have been done 15 minutes earlier! There’s an instructional video showing how to apply the screen protector properly that is sent via email after purchasing this product. It’s pretty helpful, but misleading in the sense that the star of the video applies it effortlessly on his/her first try, or so it seems. I feel like we didn’t see the first 75 attempts which were left on the editing floor, or the video was done in a vacuum. In any event, my screen protector application was a success, no air bubbles or dust. Hopefully this review helps someone out.

Updated: TechMatte offered a free replacement for my troubles with the first set of protectors. I agreed to give them another shot and have had much better results the second time around. As expected, I had no issues with bubbles or alignment upon initial install. I then used my Switch in docked mode for over a week just to be sure that the heat bubbling issue was gone. So far, the new protector looks as good as the day that I installed it. I can now say that I am fairly impressed with this screen protector. TechMatte stands by their product and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that their customers are satisfied. I definitely recommend them for protecting your Switch. Original Review: Both screen protectors arrived safely and well protected inside the box that they are shipped in. Had no issues with alignment, dust, or bubbles on install as I have installed more screen protectors than I can count both for myself and friends/family (hinge method and proper prep work go a long way). Initial impressions were good; the glass feels smooth and durable with perfect clarity. However, after using the Switch in dock mode for a few hours, lines of bubbling would appear all along the bottom bezel above the speaker ports. These air bubble lines would not disappear even with applied pressure or leaving the Switch off and laying flat for a day. I removed the 1st protector and applied the 2nd included protector and which led to the exact same result. Unfortunately it seems that either the adhesive needs more work or the thickness of the glass is not allowing it to cope with the heat generated by the Switch console during docked mode (similar to complaints about the thicker Hori Premium screen protector). Maybe it could just be an issue with the initial run of these protectors since I had this protector on preorder well before the Switch launch date. In any case, I am now using a different brand and thinner tempered glass screen protector with good results after multiple hours playing Zelda: BotW in docked mode.

If you get a Switch you *need* a screen protector. The plastic is soft and will scuff or scratch. Mine took a spill in tabletop mode 4 days after getting it and put two permanent dings on the screen. I ordered this immediately. It includes the screens, microfiber cloth, wet and dry wipes, and dust removal adhesives. I only used the wipes and the microfiber to clean the screen. The first protector applied quickly and not only protects the screen, but has severely reduced the visibility of the minor screen damage to the point I cant really see it. YMMV. For me this has made the purchase worth double or triple what I paid. Again, YMMV so dont be like me, get one of these installed right away so its never an issue short of something catastrophic happening to your little console. You get two in the package which seems intended to give you a do-over if something goes wrong with the first attempt. I didnt need the second one. I did have a small air bubble in the middle of the screen but I was able to work it out in a minute of gently but firmly rubbing with the included microfiber cloth in circles from the top edge of the bubble and working towards the bottom edge of the screen.

I just recently purchased a Nintendo Switch and I realized I needed a screen protector for it. I wasnt sure what to use at first, but based on the reviews while I was searching I ran into amFILM and it was an awesome find! If youre like me then you hate air bubbles and trying to perfectly apply the screen protector, but the process is actually not that bad! They give you very simple directions and even supply wipes for you to clean your screen off. Just applying the protector to the screen was the hard part but if you follow those directions or look up a YouTube video to get the gist of it. Once its on its amazing! You can barley tell its even on there and its really saved my Switch from a couple of near fatal scratches! Bonus is you get 2 protectors so you can replace it if needed!

I work in the IT field, and we apply screen protectors constantly. Ive never seen a screen protector packaged with so much care as this one! This was by far the easiest screen protector I ever applied to a screen in my life. They make it so easy for you that as long as you follow the instructions, there is no issue! I had originally purchased a PDP screen protector on day 1 of the Switch release. Only to be disappointed that PDPs screen protector didnt even fit the Nintendo switch properly! So I contacted PDP, who were aware of this and got a refund. My friend then referred me to this screen protector by TechMatte. I purchased it and got it in the mail quickly. This comes with everything you need to apply the screen protector on properly! Two wet and dry wipes, dust removal and hinge stickers, a micro fiber cloth, a thick card to remove bubbles, and instructions! I also love and was plesantly surprised about how these screen protectors had tabs on the side so you dont have to touch the screen protector itself which could accidentally risk getting your finger oils on it or dirt on it. This is the first screen protector I have ever seen that has that and it makes applying the screen that much easier! I put it down and in one go I had the screen protector on perfectly thanks to those tabs on the side! Then I smoothed out the bubbles with the card and it was perfect! I am so pleased with this product! I wish more screen protectors were like this one! Thank you for the best screen protector, TechMatte! Also in my photos, you only see 1 pack each of the wet wipe and dry wipe, but you do get two of each! You also get two screen protectors with each pack. By the time I took these photos I had already applied my screen protector on my Nintendo Switch. Just wanted to write that part in, in case people get confused while looking through my photos.

First off the seller emailed me a how to video days ahead of the products arrival so that I could be prepared to install the item correctly. When the product arrived a few days later I was so excited to put it on that I watched the short video and was confident in the installation. I had to install the screen protector on two units and the first one went well, but either the second set of wet / dry wipes didnt come with it or I misplaced them, but as a result I had to reuse the wipes for the second installation and that did not go so well. Because there was residue left behind from the first use that I did not notice until i had installed the screen it did not look as clean as it should. Although it was the weekend I quickly contacted customer service by email, but I wasnt expecting a response until sometime next week. Well a person named Steffi (very pretty name by the way) contacted me immediately and instead of grilling me about what went wrong with the installation she asked for my order number and to confirm my shipping address instead! After that I received the final email letting me know that a replacement would be sent immediately. I had already fallen in love with the product, but the customer service had me wanting to introduce Steffi to my family, lol. Also when installed correctly it is difficult to tell that a screen protector was added because of the clarity and great sizing / fit of the product. Below are photos of both installations and you will notice the differences as well as the fit making it difficult to tell that a screen protector has been installed. Thanks TechMatte! This tempered glass screen protector is excellent! It fits the Nintendo Switch screen perfectly! Application was a breeze with the flaps on the sides. I had no bubbles. The system still docks without any issues. I am impressed! Even the packaging was nice! I would highly recommend this protector! Update: After using the screen protector over 1 week, I can say, I highly recommend this protector. Ive had no issues. The protector is still perfectly adhered to the screen. No bubbles or signs of peeling at the edges. My console is docked 90% of the time, and the heat from the system has not caused any issues. No scratches on the glass either from inserting and removing the system from the dock. The one thing I did note is some small smudging on the bottom corners of the glass, where the dock grips the system. Likely a side effect of the increased thickness with the protector on. These smudges are merely cosmetic, and they wipe away fairly easily. I wouldnt necessarily call this a problem, considering it protects the actual Nintendo Switch screen. If you are looking for a good quality and inexpensive tempered glass screen protector, this is the one. You wont be disappointed.
