Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades ,100 Count (Pack of 1)

Personally, I believe these are among the best blades you can get on the market for the money. Ive used others, but these are my choice. Very close shave and easy on the skin, at least using my razor. On another note, Ive found Cremo Cream to work better than most types of brush-on and lather soaps, as well as being much easier to apply in a pinch.

I purchased these blades for personal use, and for my customers who buy my handcrafted safety razors. Ive been using them for the last few weeks, and I can say that these blades are fantastic! They shave just as closely as any cartridge razor Ive ever used, and they require less pressure, so I get fewer nicks and no skin irritation. Each blade has lasted me a little over a week, probably about 9 days. I could have stretched them further, but at the price, Im probably not switching them out as often as I should be. As you can see in the picture, each edge is numbered, presumably to help you keep track of how many days youve used each side. My razor covers these up, and in any case, its just easier to shave half of your face (or leg, or whatever) with each edge instead.

I have sensitive skin with average beard thickness mostly on the goatee area of face and neck. I use persona blues and these Astras are sharper. If I let more than 4 days of growth accumulate, I use these to make quick work of it. I use with razorock, barrister and mann, sit here and Taylor of old bond street soaps and cream.

Not too sharp, not too dull.... just right. These are the perfect blades for my skin. And theyre so cheep I only use them once.

Ive lately discovered (when I bought these 4 months ago) safety razors and have no doubt I am a lifetime convert. I tried razor after razor, constantly going back to my Mach 3 Turbos but when my friend told me about safety razors when I was considering signing up for one of the dollar shave clubs, he recommended this brand and gave me one of his many packs. Turns out, I can use the same blade for at least a month (I only shave once a week, perks of being a self-employed handyman) but the shave quality with the Astra blades matches the original Merkur blade that came with my safety razor and as a plus- IT IS A GREAT DEAL. Doing the math- I basically can get 8 years of shaving blades for 10 dollars. I pushed Mach 3s to the limit, but Ill tell ya- it cant beat this for the shave or cost. If I treated the Mach 3 cartridges the same way, I would spend roughly... $200 for the same amount of blades. We can all do that math :D I love it! Ill probably buy 7 or 8 more packs and be more than set for life... for $80. Sounds like a great deal!!

I get razor smooth shaves with these blades and my Merkur 180. Compared to the Merkur blades my safety razor came with, these are miles ahead. The platinum coating really helps a lot on the first 1-2 shaves and the blade just glides on your skin without any catching. I only shave with these once a week (so the blades have longer to rust), but given that, it lasts me at least 2 if not 3 shaves before the blade starts getting rough on the skin. The best part of this is that the price of this pack is an absolute steal -- youre paying < 10 cents a blade!

Switched to a safety razor to reduce my use of single use razors (which are not recyclable). The blade refills are recyclable because it has no plastic attached. The safety blade has been a small learning curve to use and avoid cuts. But the single box of refill blades has lasted me over a year. Excellent price point. No more pink tax.

These blades are great everyday blades! I use them on my clients and they are very sharp. They get the job done with crisp line ups and beard line ups. I would also assume they are great for personal use and should last about 2-3 shaves per blade. Give them a shot, great price for sharp blades! Hope this helps!

What I like most about these blades is that the air awesomely smooth when cutting a thick coarse beard what I dont like about them I thought I bought him a hundred pack and its going to take me 2 years or more to go through them all so no no cons about these blades

So far so good. I used the Merkur Super blades (from AOS) prior to getting the Astra blades and I noticed a difference right away. As an aside, the price for 100 of the Astras is $4 less than the price for 10 Merkur blades - that alone made the purchase worthwhile for me. The Astras glide a little better than the Merkurs did and leave less irritation for me personally. I would have liked to buy a sample pack to try a bunch of different manufacturers but I wasnt willing to pay twice the price for the same, or fewer blades, so I gambled on the Astras instead and it paid off.
