Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades ,100 Count (Pack of 1)

> 3 dayI just switched to Astra from Shark blades and I definitely prefer Astra. The blades feel sturdier and sharper. The blades come in cardboard boxes with 5 in each, so the packaging is not as cool as the little plastic boxes that the Shark blades come in. However, the blades are still individually wrapped in wax paper and the cardboard probably makes for less waste.

> 3 dayGreat value for the number of blades. Im a woman, and I switched to DE shaving because regular disposables are just so wasteful. With these, I can save up the blades in an Altoids tin, and then just recycle the whole thing. Because I use these mostly on my legs I dont really have an in-depth review of the performance of these blades vs others, but they get the job done for me so I recommend them.

> 3 dayI bought this product because they stated that it was made in Italy, with much fanfare. As I received the package, I read that it was made in Russia. Politics apart, and no matter the final quality of the product, the title was a deceit, hence my rating.

Greater than one weekExcellent balance of sharp without being unforgiving. Superior quality control. Best blades I’ve found. I’ve bought several sample packs of other blades, and tried everything from Derbies to Feathers. My search ends here. In case it matters, I have course blonde facial hair, I use a Best Badger brush, Proraso pre shave cream, shave cream, and after shave lotion. I do a 2 pass shave 90% of the time, 3 pass for special occasions. I also use these blades to shave my head, though not a fresh one. I get razor burn very easily, but these blades combined w the products above make it a non-issue. I wanted to like Personnas more because they’re made here, but their QC hasn’t been great, and at the end of the day, the best blade wins

> 3 dayIf you use these for more than two uses you will be cut. It is a good value but when I use these up because they are perfectly fine, I will get the more expensive ones.

Greater than one weekThe 100 pack of Astra blades is an incredible value. The blades are good quality, and are more “skin friendly” than the Feather blades. They are a good intermediate step between your standard multi-blade razor and a straight razor.

> 3 dayI just switched to a DE blade and these suckers will do the trick for way less than I was paying Gillette. 4/5 stars because I grabbed the razor too hard my first time and but my finger up good when i was installing it. In conclusion if you respect these blades they will give you a damn good shave,

Greater than one weekastra blades are good for Above The Tie. Merkur blades are good for most: like iKon, Merkur, and old gillette. kai and Feather blades are good for Feather. i use feather for a close light safe sensitive shave. iKon for more than light. and above the tie for growth of more than a few days. sometimes i can do a first shave with above the tie, and end with feather. i havent noticed a degradation in astra blades over the past few years like people have posted. i still think they are best for above the tie. i dont know why they are better. i change them all often, usually after 1 or two uses; so i am not speaking to durability. with what i spent on razors, brushes and a trip through comparative brand shopping for soaps, oils and other elixirs... the cost of these razor blades affords me the opportunity to usually use a fresh blade, considering i dont even shave most days. good price.

> 3 dayThey work very well, get a very close shave when used with a shaving oil. Barely every cut myself, it will tug hair if your shaving form is bad! Comparing to the Super Stainless Straight Edge Barber Razor Blades, these worked much better for me as my beard hair is extremely thick!! Pretty much a cheaper Feather blade! :D Will probably order more in the future soon, these will last me about 1 year and 1/2 or more.

> 3 dayYou get a lot of blades for cheap, but theyre a little inconsistent with the quality. My first blade was dull and tugged quite a bit, the second one I used was much better and provided a much smoother shave. The third was in the middle in terms of quality compared to the last two. I find it a little hard to recommend these blades.
