> 3 dayI love these blades. Ive been wet shaving for about a year now. Id tried the Shark blades before these, and was planning to try out as many brands as possible before settling on my favorites. These are my favorite. I am of African descent and, as such, I dealt with PFB for years until I did enough research to find that: in addition to the necessity of having a clean blade to having a face and neck free of ingrown hairs.. shaving every day was also paramount (at least in my case). I used Bump Fighters brand razors for many many many years and while I was happy to be ingrown hair-free, the blade were expensive. Also, theyre engineered to reduce razor bumps by safeguarding against shaving too closely, so.. my shaves didnt last long. One day it hit me... my father used a regular wet shaving razor and safety blades for years- why not me? Im currently using his Gillette butterfly razor from the 60s.. a model older than me, and these Astra Platinums. I also use Proraso shaving soap and preshave (red and red). On occasion, I use Jojoba oil as part of my pre-shave routine. The blades are super sharp; theres zero drag and theyre usually forgiving. Ive gotten weepers when not paying attention to what I was doing or when trying to shave too quickly. The first best part of wet shaving with these razors is.. I get a close shave and I dont get razor bumps. The second best part is price: While its possible to reuse these blades, I shave my face and head, daily. So, I dont reuse the blades. Im happy to pay between 10 and 11 cents per shave for a perfectly clean blade each day. Im on my second 100 pack of Astras. These blades are likely the last blades Ill ever use unless I inadvertently find something better.

> 3 dayPackaged nicely so I can keep a small sleeve of 5 in the cabinet while I put the rest in the closet. Extremely sharp, extremely comfortable shave! I actually decided to shave my head with it, just to test, and one blade lasted through shaving my head and face, and I can probably get another shave or two from it without it going too dull Overall very impressed

> 3 dayI had no clue what blade to buy. I bought these only because of the price. Man was I amazed how well they do. I shave not only my face but also my head. Therefore blades are very important. I had been using those $900 3,4,5,6,200 or whatever blade they are on now. These blades will out perform them barnone. I have a close shave without any irrataion. I cannot compare to other single blades nor do I want to. I will stick with these.

> 3 dayWhat I like most about these blades is that the air awesomely smooth when cutting a thick coarse beard what I dont like about them I thought I bought him a hundred pack and its going to take me 2 years or more to go through them all so no no cons about these blades

> 3 dayYMMV depending on you hair thickness, but I usually change blades out every 4 shaves. Though you cant go wrong with this at 10 cents per blade.. Even if you use a new one each shave. I do my basic shave with this and a cheap shaver handle thingy... But I still use another regular shaver for a few corners.. My regular multi-blade shaver gets used very little though.. And will last me several months... And I just use it for hard to reach places like under my nose or anything else Ive missed that I cant easily do with this.. This does all the heavy lifting though.. And saves me lots of money!

Greater than one weekRazor blade really come down to personal preference, but these work fine on my face. Its a screaming deal so definitely worth trying for anyone who still shaves with a safety razor. These blades are super-thin, and I feel like they dont stay sharp as long as some other brands that Ive tried (I usually use my blades for several shaves) but at this price point I dont really think it matters as much as getting a smooth shave, which these definitely provide for me. Would definitely buy them again.

> 3 dayIve used an Edwin Jagger DE89 razor for years and been very happy with it. Based on positive reviews, I also used Derby Extra blades with it. Theyre good, but Astra Platinum blades are definitely better. First of all, I get a much closer shave - without irritation. Secondly, theres no pulling or tugging as the blade cuts my whiskers, which I started to notice with the Derbys by the third or fourth shave (sometimes even sooner). Yes, there are sharper blades, and there are more expensive blades, but for me, these are better than many of the high end blades Ive tried and will be my go to blades from now on.

> 3 dayThese razor blades are top of the line and at an unbelievably low price. They are super sharp and one blade stays sharp all week! I would say that Ill buy them again, but I honestly dont know where Ill be in 20 years and its looking like 1000 will last me that long.

> 3 dayI get 2-4 good shaves out of each blade. I use these primarily in a body hair razor that uses three blades at a time so Ive got to glide it over large portions of my body and at weird angles. I would imagine youd get at least as many shaves with a traditional razor if not more if youre just going over your face.
