> 3 dayIve been using Astras every day for a few months now, and theyre my favorite DE blade. Not as sharp as Feathers, not as dull as Derbys, good for 4 or 5 shaves, and really affordable. Some complain about the glue spots on the blade, but I havent found this to be a problem. While I havent sampled the entire universe of DE blades, I imagine it would be tough to find a better performance/price combo.

Greater than one weekAmazing price and quality blades. I have been using these for years now and love them. Very sharp and last multiple shaves. Excellent bang for your buck!

> 3 dayI only recently started shaving with a safety razor, so my experience is very limited. I had bought a new razor that came with a pack of five blades of Chinese manufacture. After the second day, you could really tell those blades were not in great shape. Event he first day was like shaving with a cheap disposable. Lots of tugging, not terribly comfortable. After doing some research, I decided to try these Astra blades. My goodness, what a difference. Silky smooth shaving from the start. Im even able to shave against the grain on my chin, which I just couldnt do with the other blades. I can comfortably get 5 days of shaving from a blade... but at this price, I feel no need whatsoever to push it. When the shave is no longer perfect, I just pull out a new blade.

Greater than one weekFor me these are excellent blades and a great bargain. Im on the 2nd or 3rd week on one blade and still fine. Im good for about 5 years with these! Ive got thin brown hair so its probably different for each person. These are better than Wilkinsons Sword that I grew up with. Feather is perhaps sharper in the beginning but they dont seem to last as long. It remains to be seen if they have consistant quality, but so far so good. I recommend them.

Greater than one weekI first started using Astras in 2015, I had 300 razors that lasted me about 3 years. And I enjoyed every shave. Fast forward about well four years ago now. I have been trying new razors for just about a year every year. I finally circled back to the stainless blade and a double head razor, as I had drawn the conclusion that it had easily been the most enjoyable shave (with close seconds for my Gillet Labs Bugatti Heated Razor, and bizarrely enough just the cheap-o big single blade disposables) so I figured I’d come back to “ole- reliable” the astra platinum. Boy was I in for a surprise. The first blade I pulled out of the pack.. sucked. The 2nd blade.. sucked. The third blade.. well this one sucked so bad, I actually switched to a disposable orange mid shave. I will be tossing the entire pack in the bin, and giving feather a try.

> 3 dayI now buy these for my safety razor. I used to use the regular razors that cost me an arm & a leg, but after discovering these I still kick myself for all the money I wasted before these. You will swap out your razor more often, but theyre so cheap you STILL save a ton of money. Be careful, the are sharp!

> 3 dayI was looking for razor blades at my local supermarket and realized that the blade makers have a pretty good thing going. The safety blades were pricey, and the newer, fancier styles were crazy expensive. So I decided to see what Amazon had to offer and found the Astras. What did I have to lose at that price? As it turns out, not only did I lose nothing, but I found a great shave. From a cost perspective, if a blade gives me 3 shaves, then I have a years worth of shaves for about $10, and the blades usually last more than 5 shaves. That reason alone is enough to give these blades a try, but it gets better. The more Ive used these the better my technique has gotten, and now my face is wonderfully smooth. My son even asked me one night at tuck-in why I had just shaved when I hadnt shaved since before breakfast. Needless to say that whenever I do run out of Astra blades I will be buying another 100 pack!

> 3 dayWhether you choose Astras or another brand, I highly recommend shaving with a DE razor. A one-time cost of around $25 for a solid razor, then 100 blades (of a reputable brand) at around $15 make this cheaper after just three months. That being said, I am very happy with the Astra Platinum DE blades. I compulsively researched blades before I ordered these. I knew I didnt need extra-sharp blades like Feathers, and I knew to avoid any store-brand blade found in supermarkets or drugstores. When I run out of Astras, which I imagine will be in three years, I will purchase again.

> 3 dayWhen I started using a safety razor, I was spoiled with a trial pack of Feather blades. When I ran out of the Feather blades, I decided to try a few lower cost blades to see how they worked. I started with Derby Extras and they didnt work at all for me. Then I saw these Astra blades & the word platinum in the title convinced me to give them a try. At first, I was happy with them. Then I noticed that I was changing blades with every shave. If I skipped a day of shaving I was using 2 Astras to get a reasonable shave. I have very sensitive skin and shaving on a daily basis was too difficult on my skin to continue doing. I think these would work fine for the majority people out there, but if you have coarse facial hair and sensitive skin, these may not work well for you. I have come to the realization that Feather blades are the only ones that work for my skin.
