Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades ,100 Count (Pack of 1)

I use these on my scalp to shave my head bald, and as long as Im careful, they do a great job.

The blades are not as sharp as I would of hoped. I have very coarse hair so these blades dull after 1 use. If you have thin hair, these blades would be perfect.

What can i say. This is a great blade. I have sensitive skin and thick hard hairs like wires lol and this blade just glided through my skin smoothly and very comfortable.No cuts or razor Burn . Just a very close comfortable shave. I might add used this blade with a feather razor. havent even used the feather blades that came with it lol with this closeness and comfort i dont need to. This is all the blade i need to get a close comfortable shave. And at this price saving tons of money its a beautiful thing. ive used only one other blade Wilkinson sword that was good also but gave more irritation. I highly rexommend this product.

Great blades. I think they are probably really good for most people. My wife uses them to shave her legs and really likes them. But they could be a little bit sharper for my taste. But this probably makes them better for most people because you dont have to worry to much about cutting your self unless you have an agressive safety razor that you are using it in

I started with the easy, soft blades, went to this one, then tried Feathers. Feathers were too hot as they say. Too sharp if you will. I went back to Astra. I use one blade twice then move to a new one. I have now used these for three years and Im on my second box. GREAT VALUE AND QUALITY!

Astra Superior Platinums are very inexpensive are incredibly smooth and sharp and durable. They seem to be consistent in every one of my razors and tend to last longer than several other blades Ive tried. They arent perfect, no....they arent the sharpest...but are by far not the dullest blades out there. Very good every day razor blade....but, I would go with something else for special occassions.

I am a beginner in the luxurious world of double edged razor blade shaving with a safety razor. I initially purchased a razor blade sampler pack, and found that these Astras are among the smothest blades Ive shaved with. I know quite a few people love their Derbys, but, I prefer these blades because not only are they smooth but they are also very forgiving if you have sensitive skin like me. My shave set up includes Art of Shaving lavender shaving cream and a Merkur Progress safety razor. Pick up these blades - you really cant go wrong as they will give you a silky smooth shave. If youd like a closer shave, I would recommend FEATHER blades. They are platinum coated as well for a smooth finish to your shave. However, please please please be careful with FEATHER blades, as they are EXTREMELY SHARP and one wrong move and youll be in the Emergency Room.

I have being shaving with safety/straight razor for more than 3 years and the past year desided to use only Feather blades. Looking for another less expensive alternative, I found this great blades. Astra blades are sharp as a feather but smoother and last longer. I shave my head and my neck area (I have a beard) with a safety razor and shape the beard with the straight shavette. Smooth and agresive at the same time. Contradiction? Not for this blade. Super happy with it. This is my new go to blade.

Below is my first review. I have to be honest...I have no idea what happened to make these shave better now than before, somehow my skin changed? (I shave my head with these types of blades) But the first 2-3 blades I used cut my head up. I ran out of the Personna blades and still had these and I didnt have time to get more. While they dont last more than 2 good shaves? No cuts or irritation. I like to be honest when giving reviews...So not sure why but now they work. Worst blades ever, Personna is 10x better for less money. I was hoping for a superior blade, what I got was cut and the hair pulled on each stroke. I have no interest in helping Personna, this is my unpaid opinion.

Everyones face is different, so I certainly recommend you try a sampler pack, but Astra was for me the most comfortable. After a decade of using various Gillette Mach-series multi-bladed razors, I wanted to improve my shaving experience. After seeing some recommendations online, I elected to embrace the old-fashioned Double Edge Safety razor and wet shaving technique. The blade that came with my Merkur was alright, but I wanted to see what else was available. In the end, these Astra blades proved to provide the smoothest shave with no noticeable shaving bumps.
