Greater than one weekI shave using double edge safety razor as well as straight razor at times. Straight razor probably 25% of the time. i have thick beard and most blades just wont do. Blades like 7o clock, derby, wilkinson are trash and hurt to use even the first time. The only blade that I found that works for me are the feather blades. I ordered these just to try when I was running low on the feather blades. I can use this blade once per side and they are ok. if feather is too sharp for you, this might be a good blade for you.

> 3 dayThese blades cut the heck out of my face, so I am not saying they are bad, I am just stating that these blades are not for me. As a product, they are very well built and look very nice and sharp straight out of the box. Its also hard to beat blades that are this cheap for shaving!

> 3 dayI had originally bought 5 different brands of Double Edge razor blades from a shaving store on the West Coast to see which ones I liked best. Of the 5 I picked out which included Feather, Lord (platinum and stainless), Dorco, Derby , and the Astra. The Feathers were the sharpest and the next ones I liked were the Lords and the Astra. I decided to go with the Astras because of the cost. These blades I got from Amazon just did not seem like the ones I got from the shaving store. Very inconsistent from one blade to another. Another reviewer who also gave this a one star said he thinks these are not true Astras. He mentioned that the true Astras are individually wrapped with paper saying Astra while these which he also mentioned are in plain white paper. I cannot verify this since I have used all my original Astra blades from the shaving store to see if the paper did have Astra written on the paper surrounding the blade. Another theory I had was that Astra was owned by Gillette and made in Russia. Proctor and Gamble bought Gillette and I have wondered if they have cut down on the quality. Again just a theory on my part, but I felt the quality on the Trac 3 blades went down in quality after the P & G purchase of Gillette which made me change to using double edge blades. I do not know if the original purchase from the shaving store was pre P & G. These blades were just not the same as my original Astra blades. I am finally down to my last 20 blades and looking to purchase another 100 blades and it will definitely not be these blades. In fact I am thinking I will buy them from a shaving store just to be safe.

> 3 dayThese are great blades and at a really great price. I have a course beard and these cut through easily while less-sharp blades would catch, jump, and nick the skin as a result. I am using these blades in the Edwin Jagger DE89lbl (which I also strongly recommend). I have been shaving with double edge blades for a year or so now, having started by doing lots of research and tried a number of other blades. These are my favorite. I thought Id like Feather blades best, due to their sharpness, but they are a little too sharp, nicking the skin unnecessarily and seemed to dull after just two shaves. These Astra blades a pretty close to the Feathers in sharpness but Im getting 5-7 good shaves from each blade (and could go longer but why bother at ten cents per blade. I also tried a variety of other blades, including Gillette Silver Blue and 7 Oclock blades (too dull), Wilkinson Sword (way too dull), Derby (not bad, but not as good as Astra), and Dorco (a very good blade, this or the Feather blades would be my 2nd favorite, but Astra blades are my favorites and I like this 100 blade pack.

17-11-2024Good value for the money definitely. These are just like any others Ive used personally. They last the same as any other brands Ive tried, yet you get more for your money for these. I recommend

> 3 dayFirst great experience with Astra! Its a good blade. Its so smooth that I pressed harder on my face and got a couple of small nicks but dont get me wrong, I take responsibility for that. I learned that this blade is so smooth and great that you dont have to press hard when shaving, the blade does its job in a gentle and smooth mode. In other words, not an aggressive blade and good for sensitive skin like mine. 100% recommendable!

> 3 dayThese blades are awesome. The Russians know how to make a razor. I estimated that since I use a blade a week I purchased 120 weeks worth of shaves for something like $11.00 Sorry, Gillette.

> 3 dayI got into DE shaving into save some cash and heard how much better it was. Bought these razors from all the good reviews. Definitely better than the sharks that come with your safety razor and its forgiving enough for a noob when shaving to get a good shave and not cut your face up. Havent tried any others but the sharks and Astras are way better.

Greater than one weekGives a great shave on sensitive skin. The blades last for multiple shaves but are inexpensive enough for single use as well. A much better value than expensive brand name multiple blade razors.
