This game is a fun twist on cooperative play. My gaming group had fun exploring the house on the hill and then surviving the betrayer.

Great game. Loved playing it when all 4 of the kids were around but even with 4 people it is fun. You never know who is going to be the villian in the game. I would buy it again.

Its a great game that you could play with a few friends over and over again. The various different haunt makes the game completely fresh and theres rules to make sure you dont replay the same haunt (unless you want to). We play with new people (some play games, some dont) and they seem to pick it up easily. The only reason this game gets a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the stat indicator in the game. It is horrible! The concept was amazing, but when you place the stat indicator on the character tile it fits very loosely and it affects the game play. Sometimes you move the character tile and all your indicator are on different numbers and creates some frustrations.

Got me and my friends addicted to this game. We were playing 2-3 games each weekend for a while and had to take a break, the emotional journey can be tiring! It is recommended to consult the rules religiously, as some nuances to the rules are not obvious and it can be easy to get confused.

Apparently I can rate the thickness of this board game and I have no clue what that means.

Its a good game but the character stat pieces suck. We had to download apps to keep track of our stats, none of the plastic pieces stay on. Not what Id expect from a game I paid $50 for. Not an issue with 1st edition but couldnt get my hands on that one

I used this in one of my classes, and the students had a great time.

I bought this game because its unique, and quite a bit of fun about 80% of the time. Its the only game I own like it, and Im glad to have it for that reason. That said, my friends and I played it a bunch early off, and then lost interest. The game play suffers from the possibilities the game creates - its pretty general and boring until the endgame sequence begins. And weve had that endgame sequence happen in the 3rd turn, before anything interesting happened - a less then desirable balance in the mechanics. The artwork is hit or miss (the house is amazing; the characters are pretty awful). All that said - it creates stories, and there are still stories from those early times we played that we talk about when the game comes up. I debated giving 3 Stars, but this fact alone pushes it another star, as its the only reason I want to play games. Also - bravo to whoever came up with this game - its just a great idea, even if its got a lot of rough edges.
