Ive heard about this game for a while. Am really glad I finally got it. You definitely need the right group of people to play this. Its a well paced game, but if people overthink it too much, it could slow the game down. I havent experienced too many scenarios yet, but theyve been great so far (very tempting to read them ahead of time). The game can has a bit of a luck factor, but your decisions can alter that a bit. Ultimately, it plays out like a thematic, more complicated, game of Life....and thats not a bad thing. I think it has the right horror scenario/movie vibe, where you really dont know if the fate of those involved is predetermined and can be altered. Try it yourself!

I have played this game about 20+ times using the first edition before I decided to buy this game. Unfortunately, it was out of stock (until recently) and I could not buy it. I got a copy of this game which I assume was printed in Q1 of 2014. This run of the game has two component quality issues: 1. The player pentagons are too thin. In the 1st edition, these were thicker. This issue causes the stat tracking clips to slide literally fall off. I added two strips of scotch tape on the sides and this fixes the issue. One strip of thick clear packing tap may be better. 2. The coloring in all of the character models is too dark and doesnt look like the pictures. This makes the clothing on the characters to have less vibrant coloring, and it looks like the characters got a dark tan. Again, this was not an issue in the 1st edition. After contacting Wizards, they offered another set of models (with the same coloring issue), but were not able to fix this issue. The game play is quick, fun and cooperative which is rare. The large number of random scenarios adds a HUGE amount of replayability. The scenarios allow for a fun and light-hearted role playing. The game has a high-degree of chance involved in it which can upset some more hard-core gamers, but makes the game much more family-friendly. I am very glad to have a copy of this game, but was hoping that with the 2nd edition, the component quality would be as high as the 1st edition.

My friends and I have a blast playing this. When five or more omens are out we all start to panic, some of the haunts are easy but there are also some that are very difficult under most conditions. I do have two complaints. 1. The pieces that let you mark your stats do not work, they just slid off, solved with paper clips. 2. The characters mostly suck. They should have came up with better characters and characters that dont look like an impossible mangling of ethnicities. The stats on some of the characters are wrong in my opinion too, anyway, still fun.

This is a fun game. It is quite complicated but if can play with someone who has played before, its quite helpful.

This game is amazing. With an excellent horror theme and endless replay value, this should be a no-brainer (cause your brains have been eaten by cannibal freaks!) Put on some spooky music for added effect.

Bought this game for a couples game night. We tried working through the instructions, but we were a little slow so decided to pass. The next day, I set up the game and played by myself. If you know the game that is not a good idea as it ruins some of the fun/challenge. Regardless, that is how I learned to play the game (and watching some youtube videos). Knowing the basics and doing a dry-run was great. Very enjoyable and fun, but wish I had people to play with.
