My 17 yr old son had played this game a few times at school. He really enjoyed it and asked for his own copy. My husband and I played it with him for the first time and its a really fun and always interesting game. The board and events are constantly changing and it almost never plays the same was twice. The only thing is I would strongly recommend following the age recommendations. Some of the cards can get graphic with their creepy/gory details which might scare younger children.

Really fun game. I play this typically with 3 people 4 would be ideal. The house usually favors the haunt (unless you are Ouroboros and stuck behind locked doors :) ) Grab friends, drinks, and have a great time

I love role playing games, the problem is not all my friends agree with that. Shortly after purchasing the game I started getting more people to play it, now when ever I have people over they ask about it. With so many different scenarios youll have a hard time getting tired of it. All around a great purchase.

we had a bit of a challenge at first figuring how all the rules worked. however once we got it this is an awesome game. We decided to instill a few house roles because some of the haunts we played turned a bit lame because there wasnt enough pieces on the board.... over all a blast!

I really didnt like this game. It took too long and was too complicated. We are not gamers and just like to have a board game now and again. This game directions were not clear and all six of us thought it was not worth the effort, went back to ticket to ride and carcassone and catan

I bought this game knowing essentially what it was, but never having played it before. As far as game-play goes, I have no real complaints. My only issues have to due with the construction of the game itself. The cards are all nicely made. The board pieces are good thick cardboard with excellent artwork, though the symbols printed on some of the pieces could have been printed in a contrasting colour to make them easier to notice. The biggest complaints come down to two items: The player-tokens are made of semi-soft plastic, which means they arrived bent and in straightening them out you are perpetually afraid they are going to break. I can live with that, but it would be nice if they offered higher-quality replacement tokens for separate purchase. The player cards, i.e. the ones that represent the current stats of the player at any given time, come with little plastic sliders that are just plain too big so they slide too easily leading to confusion. You can find ways of fixing this problem on the internet, but you shouldnt have to. Overall, Im pleased with the game. I would just recommend fixing those little details in the next version.
