If youre in search of a pretty good ferrocerium rod for its price point, this is the winner. The length of this ferro rod it robust and feels great in your hands. It throws sparks well, and of course the better once the coating has been removed. Lastly, the paracord lanyard is Highly recommended!

Great fire starter. The ferrocerium rod is 6 inches long and is covered in a black paint finish. The first few times you strike it you are knocking off the paint. Once you get past the black finish it is easy to get a nice large set of sparks. The paracord makes for a great handle to pull this from your pocket. Looking forward to my next camping trip.
