> 3 dayThis works effortlessly. It’s easy to hold while using the striker. Sparks are hot and ignite my fat wood shavings on first strike. Have built several fires using this and found it to be an easy igniter for the different types of fuel, char cloth, fat wood, birds nest etc. well worth the purchase, never be without it.

> 3 dayGreat Ferro Rod for my Fire Kit. 6 inches provides plenty of material and sparks for starting a fire with a good knife. Works well.

> 3 dayI like the size of the rod however the metal striker fell out of the holder the first day we used it. I wouldve liked something more stable.

> 3 dayThis thing is huge! Bigger than expected but throws awesome sparks love it

> 3 dayThe length and diameter allow for a powerful, long stroke with a steel, resulting in a large group of sparks.

> 3 dayNot being a survivalists, but thought this might be cool to have, I bought it. It came with no direction, nothing. Just a little box. I had to google how to use it. You need to have a piece of steel handy to strike against it. Who knew? Anyway, I took a kitchen butter knife, and a napkin. I did catch it on fire, after 4 minutes of rubbing the flint. So, ya it works.
