> 3 dayIf youve been frustrated trying to start a fire with a tiny ferro rod, you might want to try this one. The extra length makes it so much easier to generate quality sparks with every strike. For a bonus it comes with paracord too. The only downside is its fairly heavy if your worried about pack weight.

> 3 dayMy 9 year old son was having a hard time creating enough sparks with a smaller flint starter, the ones that are typical around 3 inches long . With this larger one he is able to easily create enough sparks to start a fire no problem. Also, for someone that has weak hands, it is easier to grip and create sparks. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI use it for fire pits and camp fires.... it used faster than I thought. But it always works, and gives a good spark shower!

> 3 dayGreat product. Shipped on time. For the price, you get a whole lot of ferro rod. Probably the best one Ive seen yet. The only reason its not a 5 star is the tiny little striker. It works just fine, mind you... but could be bigger for easier holding and also to throw more sparks. I havent had any problems yet, but I I foresee this flimsy lil thing not lasting long. That said, if you dont have a good knife for a striker, you should get one anyway. All in all, great product!

Greater than one weekStriker broke on first use. The fire steel rod is solid and creates big sparks, and the paracord/lanyard is a very nice touch.
