This was a great buy on a great fire steel, nice big chunk of striking rod that showers sparks like a Roman candle when I strike it with the spine of my knife, the striker provided works as well. Thank you for making a great product Ill be purchasing more from your company.

I thought I loved this rod until I got one by Light My Fire. They take no effort at all to throw tons of sparks. With this one I have to use a great deal more pressure to get half the sparks. I am 70 and have arthritis so this is not the best rod for me.

Done correctly throws a lot of sparks. Accidentally dropped about 3 feet to a concrete floor and didnt chip or break. The thick striker and paracord lanyard are pluses. Lot of videos online to watch people demonstrating. Could be a lifesaver one day.

Heavy duty. Wont snap like a thin flint.

Never know when you might need a light....

Exactly what I wanted to replace an older cheaper fire starter. This one is so easy to hold and use.

Anyone could start a fire with this or at least make Sparks. Its a great size so you have something to hold on to. The Paracord strap is a bonus too.

Im no expert but this ferro rod creates abundant sparks.
