> 24 hourUsually, I have positive results with Brother printer devices. With this particular model, I did not. I have returned two in quick succession due to unacceptable print quality. After the second return, I am using a different printer brand for this user. I have other Brother printers in production, but these two returns were the latest purchased. Hopefully, it is a batch of bad printers, but I am finding another printer make for this user.

> 24 hourThe printer works ok, nothing to say there ... however, BROTHER ... in their infinite wisdom, have patched a new software that makes the printer go into deep sleep, from which it will never come back on line, unless the device is powered off / on from the switch - every time you need to print. At this time there is no fix for it and Brother states that it is done by design.

> 24 hourUnhelpful directions for setting up a wireless network connection. If you want to print with a usb cable, fine. Wireless? Call the tech support line. After 41 minutes on the phone with a very helpful Brother technician, I was able to get all three computers on the system. Prints well and quickly. Good machine thus far, though the set-up instructions are not helpful.

> 24 hourI give this 4 stars because when its working its terrific, but it took several years and several hundred dollars to get it there. I purchased this printer back in 2019 and it never printed clearly. There were smudges and dots everywhere. No matter how many times I cleaned the machine they would reappear quickly. I thought it might clear up on its own, even after replacing the toner cartridge, but it wasnt until I replaced both the toner cartridge and drum that the printer started to work as it should. Unfortunately the cost for both was close to $200, which is about 4/5ths of the cost of a new printer, but at least it now works as it should - clear printing, with no smudges. My recommendation is to make sure to contact Brother quickly if you are having any issues with print quality so that they pay for the replacement toner and drum, not you. Once its working, there are no issues and youll be happy with the product.

> 24 hourIve only used this briefly, so I can offer no opinion as to its durability. The single most significant criteria for me is ease of set-up. I hate new printers because I know that Im going to lose hours of my life trying to connect them, and will probably end up frustrated and cursing. This one connected wirelessly with relative ease.
