> 3 dayThis makes selling on eBay Breeze. I used to have to print out labels and take them to the envelopes. Now I just peel and stick all the labels to print out

Greater than one weekIve been a seller on eBay and recently Amazon and I decided to get this label printer not expecting that I would write a review. Here is my experience in chronological order: 1. Ordered printer and it arrive here in Okinawa, Japan in 8 days. As usual, Amazon sellers are on their game when it comes to shipping. Great job! 2. Box and contents arrived with no damage. Thanks USPS. 3. I had the printer for about two weeks before I decided to open it up and get it going. It was well packed and no damage. 4. Unlike most of the time, I read the quick setup directions which took about 5 minutes. Easy to read and understand. 5. Followed directions and hooked up the label printer to my computer, loaded the tape (it came with two different size label rolls), feed through the slot and aligned it per directions. Very easy to do, you cant screw it up. 6. I happened to have 7 orders I had to work on so used the software that came on the machine (lite version), cut and pasted my first address (my business) and saved it and printed 10 labels. Worked like a charm. Fast and labels were perfect. You can adjust the size and font (Windows theme selection) and hit the print button. 7. Cut and pasted customer addresses and printed their labels and again; PERFECT! 8. You can print postage but I havent gotten to that stage yet. 9. This label printer is GREAT!!! Its a snap to setup even for non-computer geeks, doesnt take up a lot of space, and works as advertised. This printer is worth its weight in gold. Will save you time and make your packages look professional. 10. I dont do reviews often, but just had to on this particular purchase. Semper Fidelis, Richard

Greater than one weekThis thing is great! Labels are made quickly and easily. Best of all, I never have to purchase ink. The only down side was that instructions on how to use it are slim. I was able to figure it out on my own, but some written instructions would have been a time saver.

07-04-2025As I said in my review of the individual printer rolls, this product is better suited for small office use than easy home use. I had one of those labelmakers from years ago that served well for home use. It was easy to use, had limited options, and was fast. This product as with most computer upgrades has too many features and is not truly easy to use. It takes about twice as long to print a simple label as it did on my old labelmaker. Not what Id call an improvement. Brother should consider making a much simpler home model.

> 3 dayUPDATE: Since using this machine to print barcoded shipping labels via Etsy and Paypal, Ive had many problems with USPS reading the barcode (even though they scanned fine at home with the USPS barcode app). So one day we stood on line at the post office to have them scan packages in front of us. NONE OF THEM SCANNED! The clerk then graciously tried them on the machine in the back to check again. Still, no success. Since purchasing this in June, many of my customers were wondering why it seemed like I made a label and never mailed their orders because post offices along the way couldnt scan them. Nail biting on both ends ensued. (Of course, manual input of the tracking number would be the solution and due to volume and time, most post offices didnt bother but I unfairly blamed them for being too lazy to scan at all.) These labels are simply too small to be properly read on post office scanners. I nearly stopped my business over the problem because it was too nerve-wracking wondering if my items would get to their proper destination. The product is fine as a label maker in and of itself and I will still use it. (I even figured out the uneven font thing by adjusting the setting in the QL-700 software.) Ive since moved on to the Brother QL-1050 (it prints 4x6 labels that seem huge compare to the QL-700). ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ill try this again. I wanted to use a photo of the specifics but since Amazon thinks it contained personal info (e.g. including personal addresses, etc) they wouldnt let me share it. (It was a copy of an address label to which I had changed anything identifiable but they didnt pick up on that.) Well, here is the review anyway: My review for the QL-700 should be five stars for so many reasons but Im all about the visual and the actual printing of names, etc. on my labels is not as nice as it would be on almost any other printer. HOWEVER, other than that, it is a lifesaver. I use these for printing labels for my small business: Bar codes are pristine (I use an app to scan them before bringing to the post office so I know there wont be any problem), the print is visible and essentially clear, just not as even as I might like. It also took some doing to get the label size to print across all the platforms I use (Paypal, Etsy, Word, PDF Pro). Needed adjustment so that I didnt waste label stock. All this being said, I highly recommend this item, even if youre a perfectionist all about the visual. I wish everything was as efficient as this item. My life would be infinitely easier.
