Brother QL-700 High-Speed, Professional Label Printer

> 3 dayI bought the QL-700 in order to make notes for myself. I wanted something affordable that could print text or images onto thermal paper. So far, it seems like itll do exactly what I want it to. The only problem is, the installation CD was completely useless for me. I couldnt get the P-touch Editor to run after running the installer and following the directions. However, you dont actually need any of the software on the CD in order to use the basic functions. All you need to do is attach the device to your computer with the USB cable and press the Editor Lite button. Your OS will have access to a read-only USB device that contains a simple editor for both Windows and Mac OS. This editor doesnt need any special drivers. Just type your text or load an image and press the print button. tl;dr: The printer is fine for basic text and image printing, but you may have difficulty getting the advanced software on the CD to work.

> 3 dayWont Print Anything. Im so disappointed. Amazon online system wont let me return it either. I called them and then they gave me my money back. Absurd. Maybe it doesnt work with my windows 10? I dunno, but since i got my money back, its going in the trash.

> 3 dayI am cursed with poor penmanship--I almost failed Crayola in the first grade. It is a real pain to label/address an item and discover you cant read it the next day. I pride myself on decent letter writing, but hand-addressing the envelope causes folks to question my abilities before the letter is opened. Feeding an envelope through an inexpensive laser printer is nearly impossible and this label printer lets me address an item with pride. It is also very helpful when placing boxes in storage to have legible labels.

> 3 dayIts pretty quick, but setting it up for shared use on the network was a bit flaky and there were no Microsoft Word templates so I have to make my own. It would be great if you could have a document that printed page one on a letterhead printer and page two on this label printer.

> 3 dayOne of the best items that I have brought. Did I need this, not really. Do I really like it, YES. It works really well, simple to use and now everything is tagged throughout the office and garage. The labels stick great to plastic containers, and look consistent and very presentable. Well worth the money spent. I am running a windows 10 machine and no issues with the software. You must download the newest from the web site. I would go straight to the Brother download site and not bother with the included disk. One last thing. DO NOT GET THIS FROM The CJ go through Amazon prime only. This is important, just look at the reviews regarding that vendor, which are all true including mine. I had to make a claim against that vendor to get my money back.

> 3 dayThe functionalities for this printer on a Mac is way too limited... Brother, please develop better software for Mac. You are losing a lot of customers and ruining your reputation because of this...

> 3 dayGreat for label items or printing shipping labels. Like most thermal printers, the print does start to fade after about a month. Works great with Linux!
