Brother QL-810W Ultra-Fast Label Printer with Wireless Networking

The biggest problem I had with these and the reason for the 2 star rating is the set up process. I found it to be very complicated & I found online help to be scarse. For a point of reference, I was using these printers with iPads for kids check in at my church. It needed to print from the check in software we used, so the Brother printer app was no use to us. Once it was set up it worked fine. But to get to that point was simply not worth it. I have since purchased the next model up which can connect the iPad via bluetooth which is much easier to set up.

I consider myself fairly tech savvy and yet I had trouble getting this guy up and running. Once I figured it all out, it was excellent!

I have three of these and will order a fourth for check-ins at my church.

Not at all a simple. Solution trying to use this on my brand new Mac and three hours in is still showing label printer as disconnected if it is not directly wired into my laptop. Don’t understand why this can’t be easily installed and used straight out of the box.

Paper feed never worked. We had the brother labels and one just like it already in use. This one did NOT work. We couldnt return because COVID hit, churches were closed so we had no idea it didnt work until window was closed.

Works for about a year. Have to purchase a new one every year.

Super easy to install and set up for use. We use this at both of our locations and it syncs easily with our software and extremely user friendly. All of our sales assistants are able to learn how to use it and switch up the different sizes with no problems!

Just too bad. Complicated to install, to use, to everything. The label is terrible to peel off. Imagine the one who created never peel once. App to create labels is awful and complicated. Once you leave the template screen, it never shows up again unless you leave the app and come back. No support at all. Got an email, and answers were go to the website, click in the FAQ link, etc.). Labels are named DK # X, there are like 18 options, complicated to find, to insert, etc. It came with only 2 samples, but you have also to guess its sizes. Sum up: returning tomorrow and find something more like 2000 era.

Very friendly use

We use this to run the check-in system at our church and it works very well. Theres barely any lag between our iPads and the printers and the self cutting feature is awesome!
